Changed coil in nautilus tank - tastes burnt

Any ideas why? I've changed it before and no problems. I've screwed it in tighter and turned the battery down but no joy.

Did you give the actual tank - the glass bit - a wash with warm water & then dry it?

I sometimes find that new coils can have a burnt taste for a little while, something to do with coatings or something used when they make them. I'm assuming you did give it a few minutes for the juice to soak in before using it (voice of experience Blush)

Magimedi, no I didn't do that. Should I empty it and do it now?!

Allergic, yes it's been in for aaaaaaages now and still burnt. Boo.

It's mostly at the end of a drag. I'll give it a clean.

And the other thing to do is turn the volts/watts up to as high as you can & press & hold the button for 5 seconds (without it in your mouth!).

And you might want to read this - loads of tips there:

Wow! Thanks. How do people know this stuff?!

How do people know this stuff?!

Because I've been vaping for three years & have picked up a lot en route - much of which has come from the vaping vipers of Mumsnet!

Honestly, when I first started I poured my liquid straight through the tank onto the table & was very Confused.

Vaping is such a (relatively) new thing that it's so hard to find good & reliable info about it.

I promise it gets easier the longer you've been at it!

(Like many other things!! )

ANd posted in a hurry & meant to say that our mantra on here is:

"No question is too stupid to ask".

All of us have been beginners & fairly foxed by it all - and those of us that have been at it a bit longer are always happy to help.

With a nautilus you have to let the juice soak into the coil for a few minutes before you vape. Once the coil is burnt I think it stays burnt, I'd bin it and start with a new one.
