Hi all. I'm sorry, I'm sure these questions have been answered 100 times before, but I'm overwhelmed with info so would appreciate your help. I've been vaping full time for a month with a kanga evod and I'm pretty happy with it. After experimenting with lots of flavours I've found a couple I'm happy with and plan to stick to (there's been a lot of wastage!) I've used up the spare coils that came with my starter pack but now I'm wondering how often I should replace them and how I know when to. Also what do I replace them with? Do I need to replace the tanks at any point and again how do I know when?

Hello, congratulations on a month! Flowers

You should change your coil when it starts to give a lot less flavour or vapour or if it starts tasting burnt. This can be anything from a few days to a couple of weeks depending how much you vape and what sort of liquid you are using (VG heavy liquid that is dark and/or sweet will shorten the life of your coil the most).

You don't necessarily need to use a new coil every time this happens, you can them to remove most of the crap and get a lot more life out of them.

If you are very adventurous you can rebuild them yourself which costs about 4p per go.

If you just want to buy some new coils, these are what you need Smile

^^ all the above assumes you are using the standard evod clearos. Some of the newer ones are dual coil (evod 2, evod glass) - if you are using these I don't know how successful dry burning would be - I would think you'd get a lot of crud stuck under the top coil but search on youtube, it's great for tutorials! If you are using dual coils, these are the heads you want.

The tanks last as long as they are not leaking. It's worth giving them a good wash out once a week or so. Check the plastic hasn't gone cloudy or cracked. This happens occasionally when the plastic reacts with certain liquids. If you notice anything like this, change the tank. If you have a glass tank this won't be a problem.

Well done on a month!

I think Plenty has answered al lyour questions but do ask if you have any more or anything isn't clear.

No question is too daft to ask.

And do come to our meet up of vaping vipers on June 20th if you are anywhere near Brighton!
