Adding to kit (new vaper)

Have been vaping for about a week, still having a few cigarettes but getting on really well with vaping now - have cut down from over 20 a day to 5 or less. I am using a Kangertech Evod, but my husband is using the 'spare' so I'm having issues with battery running down.

Without getting too technical (I don't want to rebuild/make coils/do other things I don't understand), should I just buy the same Evod kit again, or is there another one with compatible batteries/similar price range I can get? Also, I would like to be able to swap flavours through the day - what spare tanks can I buy, and won't they spill if I'm carrying them about? How do people carry their stuff/what do they carry? I just take the pen out, but battery died last time, so I'll need to carry more.

Sorry for so many questions, have tried searching for info but it gets far too high tech/tricky for me, I'm not ready for that yet!

Agree with everything that Polter says.

Am loving my eleaf7 Aspire, but just used the evod kit for my first year or more!

Well done Freckle that's brilliant progress Flowers

Your husband should get his own!

Pretty much everything is compatible so now you have a basic kit you might want to get separate batteries and tanks. How much do you want to spend? Grin

For batteries, it's definitely worth getting variable voltage / variable wattage. Also look at the MaH rating - the higher this number, the longer it will last between charges. For a whole day's vaping you really need something over 1100MaH.

For tanks, the Nautilus is proper quality but if you want a pile of cheapies to try lots of flavours you could do a lot worse than these - they work the same as the evod and are pretty leak proof. I have a friend who carries around about 15 of them, all full, in a plastic pencil case!

When out and about I use a case like this. I carry a spare battery (bog-standard ego), spare tank, 10ml liquid, a couple of tissues and a few cotton buds.

Brilliant, thanks all for the info! More shopping then :) Will do some more reading too, still not really getting the voltage thing, but found nice juices - only had a few yucky ones.

Variable voltage just means you can crank it up a bit to produce more vapour Smile

Ok, that makes sense thanks! I've ordered the discoball ego ce4 kit as it comes with 2 1100 batteries, case etc, a pack of multicoloured atomisers (?) and a cheapie rainbow shisha pen v100 (can't remember exactly but it was £4 & pretty). Had 2 cigarettes today, which is at least 20 less than normal, not even particularly twitchy so I'm well - chuffed!

2 cigs at the end of first week of vaping is really, really good going.

It took me 2 weeks before I ditched the fags totally - it was the first one of the day (+ coffee) that was the last one I gave up.
