Yes you can replace the heads on those, they're iclear16's and not bad at all. You can get replacement coil heads here

Allergictoironing · 23/09/2014 22:19

I do know people who replace tanks every week, but I think the shortest time even a cheapo clone one has lasted me was 3-4 weeks. As Polter says, you can prolong the life by washing them - rather than fiddling about washing then drying mine, I just soak them in water for a day then let them dry naturally on the windowsill, and use a spare meanwhile.

However as Polter says, the GS-H2s are well worth getting as they are IMHO a better vape than the completely disposable CE4 type which came with your kit and you can just replace the atomiser part rather than the entire tank. The e-bay seller she has linked to is the best value any of us have found (bar importing from China!) and everything I've had from him is original not a copy/clone.

If he finds he does get on with vaping, the next priority will be to get a spare battery. Not a lot worse than finding your battery needs recharging just as you're about to go out & not having a spare (or 3 Wink).

The Hangsen liquids are OK, but nothing great. Chinese imports, pretty basic, safe but nothing special. Over time it can be worth looking at some of the UK made liquids as they tend to be a bit nicer, then of course there are those made by the specialist "boutique" liquid makers like Triphammer & Alchemist's cupboard (mmm Pear Drops Grin)

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 24/09/2014 08:44

The clearos in the paradise vape kit are not CE4's they are iclear16's and are miles better. That's why I frequently recommend that kit - £8 for 2 iclear16's + (small) Innokin battery + charger is an absolute bargain! It's a dual coil clearo which means it produces lots more vapour (and gets through rather a lot more liquid) and it doesn't wet itself everywhere like the CE4. I have one that I use occasionally, still on its first coil for months now.

It's worth getting some gs-h2's as well, they're what I use most of the time. They're really cheap so you can have lots on the go at once with different flavours. I think they're great when you're learning because if you have a problem you can see what's going on easily. Also you can rebuild the coils yourself if that turns out to be your bag.

Allergictoironing · 24/09/2014 09:05

Oops my bad - was tired when I looked at the picture. Yes the iclear16s are loads better than the CE4s.

I see the lovely Klaudo is back on e-bay - he was unlisted for a few days recently.

The eBay link doesn't work, could someone give me the actual seller name so I can get some gs-h2 whotsits Wink thank you

Allergictoironing · 30/01/2015 07:19

I've had a quick look & can't see the seller (e-cigs88) any more. This could be temporary, but they weren't there last time I looked either before Xmas Sad

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 30/01/2015 11:06

I bought some from Tec-spec1 on Amazon a couple of weeks ago, they're proper Smile

toastyarmadillo · 01/02/2015 06:10

Thanks guys, I went with tec-spec, fingers crossed it will resolve my constant gurgling, which it's driving me mad. I seem to spend so much time poking kitchen roll in my current set up.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 01/02/2015 09:45

Toast, what sort of clearo are you using at the moment? There are various remedies for gurgling depending on the type of clearo.

toastyarmadillo · 02/02/2015 07:16

I already have to carry kitchen roll to dry out the clearo at regular intervals.... accidently bought a nautilus mini premium kit from fast-tec

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 02/02/2015 08:22

I've never used a Nautilus Mini but it seems to be a common problem. I've used a few different sorts of tanks and IME they all gurgle at some point. When they do you need to sort it properly or it will just carry on gurgling. At the moment the weather doesn't help - the constant temperature changes as you go in and outdoors upsets the pressure inside the tank. I found this very helpful.

Allergictoironing · 02/02/2015 13:10

Rather than kitchen roll, I use the cheapest possible (and therefore skinniest) cotton buds I can find - currently Asda have tubs of 800 on the "cheapo for a quid" section in my local one. Important you get the really cheapo ones as the more expensive they are the better quality & thicker padding, that won't fit down the neck of the tank!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 02/02/2015 18:17

yy, 'shit earwigs' as they are known in our house Grin

toastyarmadillo · 03/02/2015 04:03

Lol plenty

toastyarmadillo · 03/02/2015 04:09

Hoping the bottom fill gs-h2 I have on order will resolve the issue to a degree, using top fill cheapish ones at the minute. I also have the nautilus mini with the posh nautilus tank on order but it's from fast-tec so a while to wait I suspect. Some good reviews for that one.

Anyone else getting waves of vapers tongue? I quit a month ago, initially all my liquids tasted rubbish, then it improved then I had a bit 2 weeks in where I couldn't taste anything except custard ones, then it was fine again for a week or so, now yesterday I am trying to find anything in my stash that tastes of anything again Confused

It depends. What voltage or wattage are you using? And what kind of e-juice are you vaping at? How often are you vaping a day? Too much to think about! So I suggest never bother this kind of q...

Allergictoironing · 12/02/2015 11:10

As I'm reading your posts, you seem to be increasingly intolerant WestonMum. Posts like this are from people who don't know what any of the possible causes are. YOU may have started vaping knowing everything, but most of us mere mortals had to learn even the most basic of info about vaping at some stage Angry.

Comments like yours put people off asking the beginner questions, which leads to them giving up vaping because they don't understand things.
