Batteries HELP please

My batteries keep flaking out. suspect I'm over-charging them? I tend to leave them on charge overnight.

I didn't mind so much when it was the small, reasonably cheap batteries, but I bought an EXPENSIVE Ego C-Twist less than eight weeks ago and that seems to have completely flaked on me now, grrr. nothing's happening when I attach it to the tank and the light is permanently white (rather than blue).

Is overnight charging a complete no-no? Does this mean you have to have TWO batteries?

Or could it be a faulty charger?

Do you think I can get my money back for the C-Twist? There was nothing in the instructions about not leaving it on charge (I think)

I'm doing something wrong, I've knackered about four batteries in six months

v grateful for any advice, thanks gals

i was told not to leave them charging overnight

Thanks, I suspect you're right

Having said that I just found about wiggling the centre pin of the C-Twist back up so that it makes contact with the tank better and it seems to have worked, maybe I was screwing it into the charger too tightly

The light is still white though, don't really understand why...

I've left mine on charge overnight a few times, forgetting to take them off. But it IS recommended that you don't leave them on overnight for safety reasons if nothing else.

I have a couple of Ego C-twists, never had a problem charging either of them (and yes I have left them both on overnight at some stage!)

I would hazard a guess that it could be your charger playing up, as I tend to abuse my batteries (drop them, leave them on charge, let the dogs slobber on them etc) and never had a problem with the C-twists, and they do have a good reputation.

I would strongly recommend having at least one spare battery. Apart from being able to charge one & keep using the other, it means if your battery dies for whatever reason (and they don't have an unlimited life) then you have another to use while ordering a replacement. Cheap batteries are a false economy, as they are unlikely to be manufactured to the same standard as more expensive ones and could even be hazardous. And a decent quality battery really isn't THAT expensive, the C-twist should only cost around £20 which is what 2.5 packs of real cigarettes?

If by light you mean the button on the battery, mine are both white when I press them anyway?

Also make sure you don't screw on your clearomisers to tight as this will push the centre pin down as well.

BurgenSnurgen · 20/05/2014 10:05

Thanks both. yes you're right about them being comparatively cheap, I suppose I've got used to not paying for fags now Grin I'll get a spare.

My light is usually blue, it only turned white a couple of days ago. I've got absolutely no idea why though, i've always found the indicator lights a bit baffling.

Any good recommendations for chargers? I tend to use the ones that come along with the vaping starter packs but there are probably better models out there.

Thanks
