Dsd missing out on playdates

Hi all,

My step daughter is a lovely 7 year old little girl. We're located in didcot and have her with us 50% of the time.

She's very social, and although she has lots of friends at school, the school mums have a friendship with her mum and dont seem to want any play dates when she is with us.

She spends time with her cousins etc but we do feel guilty that she doesnt have friends in the area to play with in her time with us.

Could anyone recommend any classes at all in the oxfordhsire area that she may be able to attend every other week? Or any other mums in the area in a similar situation? How do we get around this?

Thank you!

Where is her mum's house?

Is she with you on regular days? If so, sports clubs, Brownies?

Is there a class WhatsApp and is your partner on it? Ask the teacher. He can then message a mum directly. Drop off play dates or things like bowling trips might be better than the mum coming in anyway (and reporting back!)

How far is she from her friends?

Classes can be a problem if you have her every other week, as you'll generally be expected to pay for every week and she will likely miss out on some things. Could you consider rearranging when you have her so you have regular days each week?

Maybe when the weather is better host a little garden party for 3-4 friends, just invite them along
