Sorry about this rant but..... My Dh has a Ds whos 7 and 5 years ago my Dh and his ex P split because he had fallen out of love with her. My Dh used to see his son alot and when i came on the scene things were still fine, Then Dh and I had our 1st child together which his ex hated v much and started causing trouble for us.Eg demanding more money and saying that Dh son didnt want to stay .well now we have 2 kids together and his Ds from previous is old enough to decide what he wants except his mother wont let him (she says what goes) my Dh is paying loads for maintenance and she only lets my Dh see him possibly 1 day in every 2 weeks if lucky but now he refuses to come (even tho he loves it here) Now my Dh is not bothered what happens he says its hassle (which is it) what can i do? or say? to resolve this!!!! by the wht my ss mother turns him against me BIG TIME!!!!!

Do you know that he "refuses" to come or is this just what the exp says? Have you or dh spoken to ss directly about this? It is very wrong if she is poisoning ss against his fatherfor no reason except that it seems she is jealous of your new life.
What do you and dh want to happen? If you want to see him more often could you make regular visits a condition of the maintenance pay?

Does your dh have an official access agreement? She's obviously very bitter of the happiness you now share, that she once had.... don't worry she'll get over this. IMO your dh needs to speak to her about this and agree a set visitation routine for his ds

Hi,

We've the same problems. Mum controls what the 14 year old can and cannot do.

Tbh we've let it go too. Until SS gets a mind of his own and courage there is very little we can do.

We know he loves us dearly and we tell him plenty of times we love him and want him.
