2 x dsd. 19 and 23 should we still be paying for there holidays? We did the last one even though we were meant to be paid back. I'd paid half of there holiday and without being consulted the debt was written off. They were supposed to have spending money but I paided most the bills with my do paying the rest. I let this go as it was easier for the family. Still feel they took the mickey. Well booked an expensive holiday that if paid for but dh is saving the spending money. One of dsd expected us to pay for her and I said no as it would cost another £3500 plus spends. Also I never get a thank you for it. Am I wrong in saying No? My dh agrees fully bit she feels it's all my fault she can't come

No. They don’t thank you. They are becoming entitled. For that reason alone, don’t pay.

Also, why should you personally pay? If your DP is loaded and it doesn’t impact you, fair enough.

I’d invite them to come to yours instead for a couple of weeks in the summer to do a garden project. You feed them. They help and you all bond. Sorted.

@19lottie82

She already said he won't pay.

I love the idea that my DCs might still want to come on holiday with us at that age and have a deliberate policy of increasing the quality of the holidays as they approach an age when they might prefer to stay at home.

I'm under no illusion that they would still come if they had to pay for themselves, so while I can afford it I will pay because I like them to come.

If you don't want them to come, don't pay.

I think people are missing the point. The children's own DF will not fund them himself and they are expecting their SM to fund the holiday.
