Santa stocking budget for DSS.

DSS will be spending Christmas morning with us this year and I've got no other children so I've never really done Santa gifts or anything like that.

What are some standard stocking bits and is there a rough budget to these things? We're not rich and we're thinking about £50 max on his main present.

What do you ladies put in your 4 year old's stocking?

You need the mumsnet Christmas bargain thread nothing wrong on that thread with new PJ and a board game on Christmas Eve!

Ha ha why is that controversial? We do Christmas jim jams too. tbh by the time the little ones have all their grandparents buy them things they have a LOT, then add in step-parents parents wanting to buy them something, it's really a crazy lot!

I agree with the above, don't go nuts financially, ASDA, Toys r us, they all have sales on this week, we look out in the bargain bin and often get the playmobil or lego single figures reduced but they're only a few quid anyway. I like to get some craft things from shops like poundstretcher. Spending the time painting a gnome or piggy bank or plate together is really great fun, and you can put their 'masterpiece' up in the home after as a reminder of the time you spend together sploshing paint around.
