So dh has been a tad Disney at time over the years, and recently we have been speaking about it, as I don't always want to be bad cop to dad (7) and dd (2). I have stepped back, with a noticeable down turn in dsds behaviour - lots of disobedience, back chat etc.

Anyway, we had talked through strategies he could use, and this was the first weekend of change. Standing in the queue in our local shop, dsd announced she wanted more chocolate (she had enough pocket money for a kinder egg, which she'd already picked up) - and dh, instead of giving in for an easy life, explained she would have to pick as she didn't have enough money etc etc. And a dear, lovely old lady, piped up "how lovely to see, so often parents just give in these days, but good on you" - and dhs chest could have burst he was that proud.

So thank you, old lady, for boosting dhs morale Grin
