Goodbye, where's my socks?

DSS's last day with us for the summer was dominated by his desire to ensure that he wore the right pair of socks back to his Mums.

In his words to DP "she hates you 100% and doesn't want any of your stuff in her house or any of her stuff left here".

The positive thing is that after 3 consecutive weeks with us, at least he's now comfortable enough to express it and isn't quite so anxious about the differences between his parents.

While I sympathise with you, I have to put my hand up to sending dd to contact (2hrs at a centre) in the same outfit every week until she grew out if it Shock

In my defence the first 4 sessions she went to in nice clothes and came back covered in dark chocolate, then beet root, then sand and then dark chocolate again. So the last outfit she went back in every time.

Now I send her getting mucky clothes, they are old hand me downs with faded knees etc

There is nothing malicious in it

I am in the middle of packing a weeks worth of clean, freshly ironed clothes for my boys to take on holiday with their dad and am wondering if DPs ex has got it right after all - its a whole lot less hassle her way Grin!!

We had this when DSD was small.

She once turned up in a brand new chenille jumper and the first thing she said was 'mum says you've not to wash this jumper it was expensive'.

errr, fine by me......

A few weeks later I asked in passing where was the jumper (as previously it has been her favourite one ever) she said her mum had shrunk it it in the wash...

We also used to get 'DSD has a party on sunday on 1pm, can you buy her a new dress, shoes and a present to take'

That's hilarious re shrinking jumper. I do agree about buying the friend a parent though... I hate when my ex assumes I'll be buying dd's friend's birthday gift when the party falls in his contact day!
