jonesybells · 15/12/2010 15:39

Bixie, wow Xmas Shock

Oh dear God, all these things these disgusting boys do!!

everything he touches feels dirty and clammy - and honest it's not in my mind...

The twisty rod thing to open his bedroom blinds - yuk

Any glass/mug/cutlery he has used - yuk (another reason I want him to put his own stuff in dishwasher)

DS1s nintento DS - yuk - actual visible grime after one play of it - not an easy thing to disinfect either

His laptop - yuk

Any doorhandle he has touched - yuk

The lightswitch in his bedroom - yuk

The laptop - yuk

The remote- yuk - don't, just don't pleeease Petal

I could go on but I can sense the OCD coming back so i'm trying not to think about it..

And I confess to using rubber gloves when collecting his washing and putting it in the machine, - I throw away socks which are inside out (don't ask)

And I will not wash anything of anyone else's in the same machine load as his - I have even considered putting it on an empty rinse after his stuff but feel this is going too far

YUK YUK YUK

let the step-mum haters get a load of this!!! Shock

"you don't sound like you even like him very much - poor child"

blah blah blah

jonesybells · 15/12/2010 15:41

High peeing dogs, Reebok wearing cats and slime excreting step sons..

It's got to be a hit!!!!!

Petal02 · 15/12/2010 15:47

I know just what you mean, about everything that SS touches feels grimy and clammy, it really it gross. I don't handle his dirty laundry without wearing marigolds. He often goes for a couple of days without changing school shirts, pants or socks. The school shirts are a yellow/grey colour (they should be white), the socks are dire and as for the pants - well let's just say he really should use loo roll after a Number Two. There are times when I think my husband should take a close look at his son, and ask himself where he went wrong.

No DHs got a lovely habit when GChild is at work he uses his laptop - GChild doesnt mind - so I have the spectacle of GCs laptop with all his traces on it in my bed. And my DH touching all the keys with his fingers.

Then he wonders why at lights out I dont want him to touch me - darent tell him.

I always make sure my laptop is available for DH now when going to bed whether I want to use it or not.

glitzy · 15/12/2010 16:10

Suda.. I know I shouldnt say it, but you really do crack me up! You may have a GChild from hell... but at least you do keep your sense of humour most of the time! (on here anyway - probably a lot harder in RL)

But underneath it all, I can feel your despair!

My SD has now taken to the habit of sitting in the lounge all night as she is bored in her room. We now have the pleasure of her company ALL night until we go to bed. Having to listen to her comments during whatever we are trying to watch.. ie "seen this" or "shes such a slut" or "boring" or "I wanna watch blah blah" arrgghhh why wont she just piss off and watch whatever the hell she wants in her own room... she has a big tele and a pc and dvd player and everything else she wants... why not give DH and I some "us" time? Oh and dare we even give each other a peck on the lips - youd think we were getting it on right in the middle of the living room!

and breathe..

Time to step away from the SK section again I think, before I whinge all night long!

jonesybells · 15/12/2010 16:16

I sat with gritted teeth last night saying in my head "fuck off to bed, fuck off to bed, fuck off to bed, FUCK OFF TO BED"

He didn't go though, so I did, - I had fingernail marks on the palms of my hands, waiting for DH to come upstairs - thankfully he wasn't too much longer, - didn't actually draw blood.

jonesybells · 15/12/2010 16:22

Oh Shit I just realised this thread was entitled "Suda, how are things?"

...and look what I've done.....

glitzy · 15/12/2010 16:25

Im just as bad jonesy... just cant help myself sometimes Xmas Blush... sorry Suda!

Maybe we should stop saying things in our heads and just let it all out!

off to dream about the fantasy world where we just say what we want! Oh wait.. thats the SKs world, not ours!

Im the same MJ, always had a 5 year deadline to aim towards - ie in 5 years time SD will be 18 and able to leave home etc... and now that the 5 years comes to an end in a few months, ive realised that she isnt just going to move out etc, she is going to be around for years to come, just like Suda's GC. Making demands, being unreasonable etc

25!! I want to cry at the thought!

With not having any kids of my own, I guess its easier for me, I just rant away when I need to (well I did, but disengaging now so no ranting - at least out loud!)

It does seem unfair though to have different rules and discipline for the different sets of kids - very hard for you I imagine.

I plan on getting stricter when SD is 18, which im guessing will go down like a lead balloon. No more free ride!

Bahhhumbug · 15/12/2010 21:49

Suda glides in regally

RIGHT ENOUGH ABOUT YOU LOT. THIS IS MY THREAD.

No its ok - really carry on - I've lost my thread now anyway - get it ? - lost my thread.

Oh is there a good old fashioned thread stealing going on?

Well here's my tuppence worth. We were meant to be going out this weekend, but DH arranged to do something with DBD without telling me and only just remembered last night and then LEFT ME TO CANCEL WITH OUR FRIENDS AT LAST MINUTE. So I will be spending this weekend looking after the DCs instead of being in a pub with friends having fun while he does something fun with DBD.

Where is my slap with a wet fish icon? eh? EH??

As you were ladies, as you were.

Bahhhumbug · 16/12/2010 21:58

Must share this with you girls !!

< hello - anyone there ?? >

.. its ok its not my usual pass me that rusty razor blade no not that one the blunt one something happy and positive.

DGDs Music and Dance School Christmas Show.

Average age 6 - Xmas Smile

Grand Finale - they sang 'Wonder Of You' accompanied on piano to their families and loved ones who had supported them all year.

NOT A DRY EYE IN THE HOUSE.

christmasheave · 16/12/2010 22:00

Hello! I'm here procrastinating briefly.

Sounds lovely Xmas Smile

jonesybells · 16/12/2010 23:12

Big fat lump in throat..

Big fat gown up tears in eyes..

What a beautiful image, thank you for that Suda..

Night, Night...

Bahhhumbug · 17/12/2010 08:05

Morning Campers.

Can we postpone Xmas or ask for an extension on deadline ? Am panicking now as have been really sick with a bug and just getting better and darent think what I still got to do Xmas Shock

BTW - you know my techno weenie skills by now - i.e. non existent. Computer illegitimate - thats me Xmas Grin - well I meant to paste in the words in my last post - just to help you imagine. Try again !

When no-one else can understand me
When everything I do is wrong
You give me hope and consolation
You give me strength to carry on

And you're always there to lend a hand
In everything I do
That's the wonder
The wonder of you

And when you smile the world is brighter
You touch my hand and I'm a king
Your kiss to me is worth a fortune
Your love for me is everything

I'll guess I'll never know the reason why
You love me like you do
That's the wonder
The wonder of you

Honestly it was gorgeous - they did it like a gospel choir iykwim - and when they sang the 2nd verse (and youre always there to lend a hand etc) they all turned their heads and sang to their teacher on piano and one of the mums told me that was a surprise for the teacher and they had just looked straight ahead in rehearsal.

It gets worse better - sorry Jonesey !!

They did a boy/girl/boy/girl solo line each on third verse.

So a little girl sang - 'And when you smile the world is brighter' - to her grandad (all the 'victims' were in front row obviously)

A little boy sang - 'You touch my hand and I'm a king' - to his mum.

A little girl sang - 'Your kiss to me is worth a fortune' - to her baby brother.

< Jonesey is led away sobbing uncotrollably at this point Xmas Grin>

Then a little boy sang - 'Your love for me is everything' - to his mum and dad.

Absolutely brought the house down. Gutted really not got it on video but werent allowed to film - usual bloody crap - but I will always have it stored in my memory.

JONESEY PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER Xmas Grin
