Sick step children. :-(

At the moment we have the 4 x DSC with us. There are a lot of stomach bugs around at the moment, DS had it this week and it seems DSS has had it yesterday at Mums too.

DSD4 has arrived here tonight and thrown up 3 times. She's only 7 and says she wants to talk to Mummy. Mummy simply says "oh dear" and a few ooh and aah's and then hangs up.

A few months ago, DP had a snotty e-mail from ex wife dictating that DP is NEVER to look after the children when they are ill.

Guess who's got a new boyfriend? Hmm

So, what happens when DP gets the bug and the 4 DSC are ill? Would you look after 4 sick children?

No way should you feel guilty about wanting to avoid a sickness bug at 39 weeks! Hope you're OK - has baby arrived yet? Do let us know!

Samraves · 14/11/2010 16:40

Thanks for making me feel better - and nope, the baby is fair to comfy to have made a move yet.

Fingers crossed, so far so good we are not ill, although now it transpires that DSD may have had shingles because her mum now has it! Oh well, at least I have had chicken pox already...

Samraves · 14/11/2010 16:41

far too comfy (my fingers won't type properly)

I'm just horrified that the health of an expectant mother and unborn baby seems less important than the access schedule .....

.... although such insanity seems quite common.

DP is currently in A and E with DSS who may have broken a bone. DSS asked DP if he would take him to hospital as "Mum is too busy".

We have since found out that Mum has cooked dinner for her new boyfriend and gone off for an evening of her favourite hobby and, I suspect left the remaining kids at home.

I have to keep remembering that this is the woman who threatened to take the kids away from DP via court for neglect at not taking illnesses seriously!

Unbelievable.

Theredhen - hope your DSS is ok and not in plaster.

theredhen · 19/11/2010 09:39

Yes, he's fine. Not broken, but badly bruised and swollen.
