Swimming goggles

I’ve been taking my 3 year old swimming pretty much every week for the past 2 years and he’s now at the stage where he needs a decent pair of swimming goggles.

Can anyone recommend a decent purchase as the first ones I got haven’t really worked out well and the choice is huge so I feel like I’m buying blind.

I've worked my way through countless pairs of swimming goggles for my DD. I recently bought swim "masks". They have less pressure around the eyes as

We use cheap zoggs ones. They tend to be replaced at least every 12 months s we swim frequently nd they degrade over time. Now we have a squad swimmer and a near competitive swimmer we have speedos or better quality zoggs.

Low profile one sare better than bigger ones as they keep the face more stream line but I'd think at 3 streamline face shape isn't such a big deal.

In my experience as a swimming teacher, this type of mask ‘goggle’ leak quite a bit as the skirting around the rim slackens off. Also, as the face shape/ nose bridge and aperture is fixed you find some children fiddle with them to get them to sit right.

A good guide for fitting goggles is this one.

Having been critical of that particular those type of goggles, zoggs do a fantastic range of children’s goggles. I think they once did one with holographic monster eyes. I remember seeing a few of them. I would check out any store that sells them. Try and go for a split strap and adjustable nose bridge.
Zoggs also do lots of fun toys. I still look for their seals (not the hoops or sticks but the little fat sinky squad of seals)on eBay. Great for submerging.

Amazon have some little ripper Zoggs goggles in nice colours for 0 to 6 with adjustable nose bridge and split strap, they are also on ProSwimwear and no doubt MailSports.
Having said all of the above, our local pool (and dozens of others) sold these:

I swam in them for donkeys ages and I carry them as spares for anyone (including myself, yup that organised at times) who forgets their goggles.
Whilst the strap may not be split the nose bridge is adjustable and if they don’t work out they are only £2.95 which is a lot cheaper than most goggles.

When DD was competitive swimming it was normal to take the head strap off and replace it with an Amazing bungee strap with toggle they are only about £5 and made adjusting them way easier . I always wondered why they didn't come as standard. Easy to remove and fit to your next pair too.

I know everyone on here hates Temu but since most Amazon and ebay resellers buy their stuff from there I now go direct. DS has these and they are excellent
