Should I encourage my child athlete to get a part time job?

My son is nearly 16, is an avid rugby player and is in a premiership Acadamy. He also attends a Rugby playing boys school. His schedule is packed.
School Monday -Friday with 2x training sessions and a game most weeks, Acadamy is 1x mid week training session and a Saturday session. strength and conditioning x1 per week.
local club is 1x evening session and a game on a Sunday (club training and games are becoming less and less due to other training demands)
between these sessions he is in the gym training, meal prepping, homework and trying to fit in some down time!
He wants to earn his own money but I am in a position to support him. I am worried that by the time he leaves the system and school (18/20 years) he will have no work experience and struggle to get a job.
any advice?

He'd be better off studying in his spare time to create a plan B if rugby doesn't work as a career. I don't think working at McDonalds is going to make or break it

My dc didn’t have the opportunity to work at school age for different reasons. It doesn’t matter too much. sport will open up opportunities eg at holiday camps in longer holidays. My dc just did a summer at an American camp and didn’t have work experience before but relevant skills. A lifeguard qualification can be useful. If he’s happy to work in a gym or pool he won’t struggle to get work.
