Dizzy when squatting at the gym.. HELP

Basically as the title says..

I've been going to the gym since October and doing a mix of classes:
• Body Combat - a martial arts / aerobics class
• Body Pump - weights based class
• Clubbercise - a fun, rave type of aerobics😂
• Aqua fit

I've noticed when doing squats in the body pump class, I've been going dizzy / light headed.
I stopped thinking about it and just carried on.

The last month or so I've had a knee injury so haven't been doing many Body Pump classes but when I have, I've just been squatting my body weight rather than extra weights.
I did the class last week and noticed that I was going light headed again.
I mentioned it to my instructor tonight, as I forgot to last week and she said to speak to my doctor as it could be my bloody pressure? Luckily I'm going anyway on Friday so will mention it.

But I wondered if anyone experienced the same or whatever?
I got home tonight and mentioned it to my step dad and he said it might be my blood sugar levels if I'm not eating enough before I go.
I have breakfast about 8 o'clock and then I've tried eating my dinner no later than 1.30 ish because I find I get a stitch and feel uncomfortable and full whilst in my class.

Could this be it? That I need to eat before my class?

Any help or suggestions or whatever would be much appreciated!

My blood pressure drops when I bend down and come back up quickly and I go really lightheaded. The advice my gp gave to me was no quick movements up and down (not useful when you want to do squats) and to make sure I was drinking enough water. I remember her saying I should have two thirds of my daily intake of water before lunch time and should always have a glass of water as soon as I woke up. Not sure what the reasoning behind this was but it did help with the dips in my blood pressure.

The instructor asked if I go light headed when I stand up too quickly or get out of bed on a morning and things like that and everything's all fine with that.

And I always drink a lot of water whilst at the gym so I don't think it will be that.

It's just abit odd really isn't it🤷🏼‍♀️
