Did quite a lot of sport in my late teens/twenties. Very fit, but not overly successful.
Anyway, family and work got in the way, and sport was sporadic and always took a back seat.
About 10-12 years ago, I was able to take things a little not seriously, but a significant injury ended things after a year or so. An op fixed it, but left me with weakness/imbalance.
Since then I've probably tried every year to get fit again. The most I've managed is about 18 months before another injury will put me out for weeks, or months.
I try everything in the injury prevention handbook, but inevitably I breakdown again. I'm in my fifties now, and although I'm trying again, I've one eye on the fact that it's probably not going to happen.
Anyway, enough self pity, on to the question... anyone else much to beat an injury cycle, especially later in life? All tips welcome; I may have tried them, but a different perspective can't hurt
