It looks like psoriasis to me.

365RubyRed · 28/04/2026 10:08

That’s almost certainly psoriasis.

Hi palmtre
I would take your son to a pharmacist for a second opinion. It may be Impetigo. If it is he’ll need treatment with antibiotics. My grandson recently had this and it looks the same to me.
Hope it clears up soon.

Is it painful at all? Looks like shingles could also be a possibility.

palmtre · 28/04/2026 22:27

@Queenfreakjust itchy, more so at night

My mum’s psoriasis looked like that.

Looks like impetigo to me, my son used to get it

Torchout · 08/05/2026 22:28

Impetigo tends to occur in the folds of the body, the elbow is a popular one for psoriasis

addresshagone · 10/05/2026 04:44

Did you test blood

sashh · 10/05/2026 07:15

I think it looks like psoriasis too.

Like other comments, I’d say that’s psoriasis, Definitely second the suggestion to go to the nearest pharmacy that offers ‘pharmacy first’ services and have a chat with one of the pharmacists as, while psoriasis isn’t one of the 7 medical conditions listed that can be treated by a ‘pharmacy first’ site, it is something they would be able to advise you and offer appropriate self help treatments that could be tried while waiting to see a GP for prescribed treatments - they can also refer you to a GP with a letter giving a clinical basis for their suspicions.
