You sure? Pointed abdomen with overlapping scales on the underside, shape of the wings, pointed nose. Appears to have lost its legs, though.

May beetle (cockchafer) wings are transparent and they have wing cases. The insect in the picture has opaque wings and no wing cases. I'd happily put good money on it not being a May beetle (additionally, May beetles are big and I can't see one ending up in a nostril that easily)!

@Aparecium this: may bugs/cockchafers have their second set of wings evolved into a carapace. The sucker in the photo has two sets of functioning wings which means it is some sort of beastly fly. I’m guessing a species of horse fly or deer fly.
