Huge spot

Thank goodness for masks. I actually wore mine walking between shops today to hide this beaut!

Sadly, I know from experience, it’s not squeezable. I never have spots you can squeeze. They are agony whilst squeezing but the most they ever give up is a bit of clear liquid and I end up with my spot being more red and angry, more sore & more pus filled or else the top skin comes off and I end up with a pus filled crater that leaks clear juice.

Why don’t I have squeezy spots? I feel they would heal quicker if I could squeeze the pus out.

Huge spot

Poke it with needle. I bet it would release its contents after that

Theunamedcat · 16/02/2022 16:24

Pop a round plaster and some magnesium sulphate paste on it you never know what might happen

Aderyn21 · 16/02/2022 16:27

That looks poppable to me. No way could I leave that alone

WinterSpringSummerorFall · 16/02/2022 16:38

Might be a cold sore spot if not squeezable looking like that?

Pipsandpops · 16/02/2022 17:11

I’ve stuck them with pins, tried pimple patches, extractor tools the works.

Not a cold sore. Yesterday it was a massive red swollen lump, today it looks like the photo in my op, tomorrow it will probably be gone. Never tried mag sulph. I should get some to try.

I just wondered if anyone else had such unsatisfactory spots.

This is what happened last time I had one and tried to squeeze it. Angry red and sore and lasted longer than if I’d left it alone. And scarred. So annoying.

I used to get them eventually a white lump would pop out very painfully

My son gets similar which is why I suggest magnesium sulphate and a plaster as that works for him

Peachy7 · 16/02/2022 18:13

Hold a hot compress on it, exfoliate regularly

TeenTitan007 · 16/02/2022 23:22

Looks like acne rather than pimple to me. Not poppable in that case and will scar if you force it. Mine last for a few days once they decide to visit. Confused

BrinksmansEntry · 18/02/2022 23:20

I get spots like that occasionally. Its almost as if the contents are protected by an invisible barrier so that all that happens if I squeeze or price them, is a bit of clear liquid cones out, it hurts enormously, then it gets red and sore and the contents burrow away and hide so as to reappear a few weeks later.

Helpthishouseworkhater · 18/02/2022 23:22

That’s a beauty. Warm compress as hot as you can stand I think?

FuzzyPuffling · 21/02/2022 19:15

I always put my coffee mug against beauties like this. The heat brings them on a treat. (And then attack with a needle)
