Doesn't smell

Bits of meat? Are they stuck around your teeth?

UncleFoster · 16/05/2020 00:13

Where are you pulling it out from?

Chardonnay73 · 16/05/2020 00:16

I get this if I use a certain mouthwash, my dentist said it’s stripping the membrane off my mouth and to stop using it!

MrsEricBana · 16/05/2020 00:20

Yes what Chardonnay73 said. I get this if I use OralB toothpaste.

Chardonnay73 · 16/05/2020 00:24

Yep! Listerine mouthwash and Oral B toothpaste... baaaaad combination 🙁 I may have healthy gums but my mouth will have disintegrated 😂 What toothpaste are you using op?

fanniboz · 16/05/2020 00:30

I'm currently experiencing this OP. I recently switched toothpastes and apparently it can be sign of an allergic reaction!

MozzchopsThirty · 16/05/2020 10:00

I use sensodyne whitening, not sure how long I've been using it
My teeth can stick together sometimes 😱

It's a fairly recent thing

Some toothpastes can cause sloughing, its basically the outer layer of cells coming away so you can sort of peel off the outer layer of your cheeks. Kind of like footner for your cheeks

This isnt a problem and wont cause any harm, the cell turnover is every 2-3 days anyway. However it wont cause your teeth to stick together

Gatekeeper · 16/05/2020 16:56

I get this if I use Oral B toothpaste- not an issue with Colgate

itsanotherdayinparadise · 16/05/2020 17:01

I'm
A dentist. It's a dry mouth. Your saliva has congealed and is sticking to your mucosa. Some mouthwashes can cause this, as well as lots of medical conditions, and medications. Try to increase your fluid levels.

hairymuffet · 19/05/2020 19:00

I get this if I eat salt and vinegar pringles !

Elieza · 19/05/2020 19:06

Salt and vinegar Pringle’s always strip half the skin off the inside of my mouth!

Yet I can’t stop eating them..!

MozzchopsThirty · 19/05/2020 21:03

@itsanotherdayinparadise It's not a dry mouth, if I drank any more fluids I'd be drowning my organs

I think it may be toothpaste related, reading this thread I think it occurs when I've cleaned my teeth

penguingorl · 22/05/2020 04:12

I get this when I've been grinding my teeth badly in the night, it's like I've chewed off bits of the skin from the insides of my cheeks.

AdoptAdaptImprove · 22/05/2020 20:09

I get this with any whitening toothpaste. I’ve checked it out and other people also report it as a reaction to the whitening agent. I’ve gone back to my regular sensodyne, and haven’t had a recurrence.

Khione · 22/05/2020 21:26

My daughter gets it with most toothpastes. Her dentist recommended the foul tasting expensive one and she has been fine since.

SistemaAddict · 23/05/2020 22:24

I get this with whitening toothpaste too so don't use is.

ThePawtriarchy · 26/05/2020 23:07

I get this with toothpastes with stannous fluoride in it. They’re slowly changing all of them to it.
