Should go the walk in as I think of it spreads out
That's the infection spreading?

LargeGlassOfPepsi · 17/09/2018 19:41

That looks like it's tracking, you might need an antibiotic for that. I take terrible reactions to insect bites and that how mine look at the start of an infection. I also take antihistamine, you're probably best to go a pharmacist or your GP. I don't know if pharmacists prescribe for minor ailments where you are but mine does.

MsHomeSlice · 17/09/2018 19:42

i'd draw lines round it, take antihistamines and review tomorrow...I reckon day three is peak yicky/itchy/swollen for bites and it's make or break from there

and you can shave your leg in the morning if you have to go anywhere if you like

macdhui · 17/09/2018 19:43

I would def get a medical opinion incase it’s cellulitis

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 17/09/2018 19:44

Is it hot to the touch? I would say by the look of it that it's infected, if it's warmer than the rest of your leg then it's definitely infected.

Whatsnextforus4 · 17/09/2018 19:47

It's really itchy and very hot to touch I'll pop to a pharmacy tomorrow (after a good shave)

What I do to take away itchiness (usually from mosquito bites) is to put a teaspoon into a cup of hot water then put the convex side of the bowl of the spoon onto the itchy area for a few seconds. The heat apparently breaks down the proteins that cause the itchiness. Make sure it's not so hot that it burns you, you don't need to make things any worse.

Ouch. How did you get on op?
