Fungal foot infection *pic*

I have what I assume is a fungal foot infection. It is SO itchy but intermittently so, sometimes I will get a few days to a week with no itching then it will start again. I've had this for years! Athletes foot cream/powder doesn't work, I think as it's the sole of the foot it probably can't penetrate to the actual infection. I've filed and exfoliated to death and it still looks like this. I think my next step is Vicks but wondering if anyone else has had this and any tips. Can't take anything from the doctor orally as am pregnant.

Are you sure it isn't Pompholyx Eczema OP?

Maybe you should get a diagnosis, rather than just assuming it’s a fungal infection? It does look very itchy..

Interesting, I looked up pompholyx eczema and while it does look similar mine isn't that bad and doesn't develop weeping blisters like that. I guess I just haven't felt it was that serious to go to the doctor about but I probably will if it stays this itchy as it's been the last few weeks!

It looks like the blisters I get, went to the gp and he said it was hand foot and mouth, which can recurring , a bit like cold sores do

I work in foot health and would say it is athletes foot, due to the presentation and itching. Often creams and powder are not effective. They must contain 1% terbinafine to have an effect, and you must also treat inside your foot wear as you will reinfect yourself otherwise.

Another one recommending terbinafine
