The newest addition to my family, Esmeralda is a curvy lass that loves to defy norms. She enjoys long walks in the woods, expressing herself, and dominating those around her. While she remains, ahem, intact; she does like to spend time in bandage play.

Omg!!!

BrianCoxWithBellsOn · 03/07/2017 19:27

Oh my word! What is that? A burn? It looks so sore 😢

goatface · 03/07/2017 19:27

It's almost glistening

AvoidingCallenetics · 03/07/2017 19:28

Why haven't you popped that yet?

peripateticparents · 03/07/2017 19:55

Esmeralda refuses to speak about where she came from. She started as welts and puffy ankles, spread around my ankle in a lumpy blanket of pustules (with her sister above the other foot) then, like a butterfly, emerged from the cocoon of bandages as you see her now. Her sister remains less impressive.

I have no idea what induced her to join us, though I am somewhat worried about creating an infection entry point, particularly as I am on my own with only the contents of I will dirtied backpack. And wine.

I may go in when the wine bottle is empty Grin.

Oh crikey please do not touch that yourself. I'm assuming yo I haven't had a doctor look at it? Get some antibiotics asap, you don't want to risk blood poisoning.

*it takes a lot for me to a sporting opportunity ya know ;)

MaureenDodd · 03/07/2017 22:22

*sporning

MorrisZapp · 03/07/2017 22:24

Holy crap! That's shocking! Get to a doctor

Gazelda · 03/07/2017 22:28

Christ alive! You really, really need to get Esmeralda to a doc bloody quick.

Gingernaut · 03/07/2017 22:29

Are you travelling? Are you in the UK? Can you get medical attention without taking out a mortgage?

Veronicat · 03/07/2017 22:31

OMG. It could be full of baby spiders!

Funko · 03/07/2017 22:32

Mosquito bites? I blister up when I get mozzied and can get quite nasty

Gingernaut · 03/07/2017 22:34

Googling produces hair raising possibilities.

Please get to a doctor - infection may have already set in. Shock

user1471443504 · 03/07/2017 23:52

Have you been in contact with giant hogweed? Just been reading about it and the burns and blisters it can give!

MargoChanning · 03/07/2017 23:55

She's a beauty alright! Grin

Dontlaugh · 03/07/2017 23:59

Are you abroad? Walking a lot? Underlying conditions?
Don't squeeze that, from the woman who invented the word "sporn". I did! So if I'm saying it then don't.
Find a doc and stop walking or whatever is causing that irritation.

peripateticparents · 04/07/2017 06:49

Morning ladies.. I left Esmeralda in peace last night and she's doing fine

Gileswithachainsaw · 04/07/2017 06:51

Just...wow...

AnarchyKitty · 04/07/2017 16:53

I saw an OOH doc on Sunday who declared it was probably a reaction to spider bites.

peripateticparents · 04/07/2017 17:47

Esme has gone... she popped sometime while I was sightseeing today. Sadly I didn't even notice it happen. There's still spaces the baby spiders could be growing, though...

Babymamaroon · 04/07/2017 20:45

Oh wowsers! Glad she popped and you're ok...

StepAwayFromCake · 04/08/2017 11:52

I have only just discovered Esmeralda and her siblings. How is she/are they? Hopefully she remains deceased, and has not returned to haunt you?

I doubt she was a spider bite, TBH. More likely to be a nasty allergic reaction to something else.

Warning, explanation is disgusting. You may want to stop here if you are of a sensitive disposition.

I've had spider bites, and the blister has more than just fluid in it. When it bursts it does not go completely flat, there are lumpy bits left behind. This is because spider venom causes your flesh to break down, to pre-digest itself, so you get blobs of broken-down tissue in the liquid, often still attached to you. This breaking down of your flesh continues until your body manages to heal itself.

God almighty, can't believe you put that dirty old coin next to that!!!

I think you should see a doctor again and I say that as a hard core sporner!
