I was talking into applying for stuff I was entitled to, on AIBU, I didn't think it'd be such a slog. I've not had them answer the phones in less the 30 minutes, by which time I'm wanting to stick a bow up Vivaldi's..: Grin

They don't seem to like offering up information as to how things are progressing either. I think for me part of the battle would be knowing what's going on.

I had a HBA1C about 2 1/2 years ago, the hopes are if they can link this to something else it's something else sorted that I don't have to feel miserable about.

I wasn't getting a BP reading, they tried all the different cuffs, even though I'm skinny. I can tell them, they should be able to tell me that the problem is I need fluids. I don't know how much a standard bag of fluids costs, but they're reluctant to do anything. It's all you've got to drink more, but when you're so nauseated drinking more isn't all the viable.

I'm on input & output charts, my output is around 60ml when they say please try and do a sample.

To me the fact I've avoided bothering anyone about it should show I try and hope for the best over being in hospital. It's been so sore, it's really sore now. They really struggle to comprehend like all my other toes & part of my foot hurts. To me that isn't rocket science, by the least it's referred pain.

I don't swear often but bloody hell.

I didn't really understand what you just posted, was it medical jargon? I can tell you are frustrated and sad though. I'm sorry. I hope someone listens soon. Are you in hospital?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 31/05/2017 16:06

Have you had antibiotics on the last couple of days? Forget what has happened in the last year, are you being treated NOW?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 31/05/2017 16:11

** in the last couple

ShelaghTurner · 31/05/2017 16:14

I thought you were in hospital, you mentioned IV antibiotics? Seriously, that toe needs immediate attention. As I said above, my dad lost his toe and damn near lost his foot. I don't mean to scare you but you need to make a noise. My dad didn't and it took the rest of us to do it. If you can't bring yourself to make a fuss then call in a family member or friend to do it. This is serious!

GlitteryFluff · 31/05/2017 16:17

Are you being seen to by someone? Hospital? Gp?

JigglyBall · 31/05/2017 16:18

That looks absolutely awful, as if necrosis is setting in. You need medical attention immediately!

MissEDashwood · 31/05/2017 19:47

These are photos from months ago, about September time. I showed what it looks like now. It's getting treated. These are just the different pictures I've got of it. It stopped leaking stuff from everywhere but the right side.

You are getting treated now? Are you in hospital?

ShelaghTurner · 31/05/2017 20:36

I'm confused. What is the toe like now and where are you?

picklemepopcorn · 31/05/2017 20:50

Op had another thread.
The third set (or last but one) are today's. The rest show how it started, how long it has been, how bad it got etc.

I think she has other health issues, but is in hospital at the moment about her toe. Though I'm not quite sure.

MissEDashwood · 01/06/2017 10:53

Sorry I've caused confusion, I only have 1% battery so need to be quick. The first photos were April 2016, the second were between April and September 2026, the last were around September / October 2016.

I've been having treatment throughout, but nothing worked.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/06/2017 11:08

What treatment are you having right now? We understand the photos are over a period of time but what is being done now?

CoteDAzur · 01/06/2017 11:17

When you say treatment, do you mean antibiotics? That won't work because your problem isn't a simple infection. The smell you joke about is because you have tissue decay - i.e. Necrosis. The treatment must include debridement - i.e. Cutting out the dead tissue.

Look up diabetes and foot problems.

I would bet even money that you have not "pre-diabetes" but full on (unmanaged) diabetes. You must get it under control and you must have this toe treated properly or you might lose it.

Do you smoke, by any chance?

FloatyCat · 02/06/2017 16:31

Gosh OP that looks very serious, I've had toe & toe nail infections that were nothing like that. Please get it treated properly ASAP as there could well be a risk you may lose your toe (esp if you are pre-diabetic / diabetic)
