I hoik them out with a fingernail and a magnifying mirror once every six months or so.

Thenightsky, I probably get them several times a weeks although it peaks and troughs.

Which one of you wants to marry me? I really want my husband to revel in the glory of tonsil stones but he is totally horrified.

My brother shows some level of interest so I sometimes send him pictures of my excavation finds although I suspect he always wishes he hadn't seen them...!

Oh dear God I just discovered what a jigger is. Dear. God. That's sealed my atheism right there.

I usually need to poke about quite a bit to see any. There's loads of holes back there but if I push them usually a few emerge.

I only discovered it when I looked in my throats and seen a large white ball so I poked it and then literally loads more came out behind it. It must have been building up (so disgusting)

I usually check every week or two now to prevent that happening but they're never just siting there. Is that normal?

My DH is a dentist and his professional opinion is that the smell when removing tonsil stones is worse than a really horrid abscess!

What fresh hell is this? Tonsil stones?! Pickers?!

A tool for my favourite and grossest body bit! I love my tonsil stones - I use some old tweezers to get them out and a headlight. I am very sad if I go a week without being able to extract one, but know that if I ignored them I could have a super dooper big one which would be SO SO satisfying to removed.
Mallow _ does this have a grippy bit on the end? Its kind of hard to see.

I really don't think I could go to work knowing I had one. I would have to dig around until I got it. I know what you mean though about the temptation to leave one to grow into a real whopper....!

I'm hoping the air floss works as the crochet hook is causing bleeding and that can't be good
