How would you introduce more adult foods - spicy and with more texture such as peas and crisps

What herbs would you introduce to add flavour to pureed meals, to give flavour and would you introduce garlic to foods - or wait until taste buds develop ?

hi I have been told that adult porridge is better than the baby porridge in supermarkets as that is high in sugar and additives. Is there a good adult brand you would recommend, or would normal supermarket own brand porridge work. Thanks
