I have two year old twins and would like a holiday which is toddler friendly but still with luxury for the adults.

Dream holiday destination - Somewhere in Europe ideally within 3 hour flight from Stansted
Time of year - October/November

Preferred catering style - All inclusive
Kids' ages - 2 year old twins
Budget - £5k

Hi there, I would recommend Turkey. I recently travelled to Turkey in March 2024 with my 2 year old and partner. We stayed in Antalya at the Rixos Premium Belek. If you are looking for luxury mixed with child friendly activities the Rixos hotels are perfect. The Rixos Premium Belek also gives you free access into the Land of Legends Theme Park and shopping village. A well worth trip! We stayed in Turkey for a week and visited The Land of Legends Park 3 times! The Rixos hotels have a kids area called Rixy where they have a soft play area and activities area, my son loved it. The Rixos hotels are very luxurious.

Now the kids are older they’re less entertained by a swimming pool. I’d like to go somewhere for two weeks that isn’t mega hot, and has plenty to do that’s not just swimming/sunbathing! I

dream holiday destination - somewhere not too hot!

time of year - summer or Easter hols

preferred catering style - AI

kids' ages - 13 & 15

budget - up to 10k

Holiday Villages would be ideal for children in this age group. Most open 1st May, however Costa del Sol and Cyprus open a little earlier, so could be an option for an Easter Break (depending when it falls) and as it’s early in the season it shouldn’t be too hot. www.tui.co.uk/holidays/holiday-villages

I'd love to go to Italy 🇮🇹 to do some sightseeing and take in some history, as well as enjoy some Italian cuisine. But the kids would prefer an all inclusive swim every day type holiday. What's the best way to combine what we all want?!

Destination: Italy
Time of year: School holidays - Easter, May 2025
Ages: 8-10, 2A2C
Duration: 7-10 days
Budget: £4-5k

Hi there, I would suggest a couple of options. Either a Marella cruise which has the all inclusive, pool etc kids are after. Then would include a different port of call every day so have the sightseeing aspect also.
Family Cruise Deals | Marella Cruises | TUI.co.uk
Or the Magic Life in Calabria hotel as it's all inclusive but also can easily venture out and explore.

Hope these help

I would love to go to Portugal - it's somewhere I've never been to, it looks quieter and less 'touristy' than Spain - with a short flight for the kids. So where would you recommend in Portugal - with the best beach, quiet but hotel equipped for children ?
Destination: Portugal (but where ?)
Time of year: School holidays - Easter, May 2025
Ages: 9 and 13
Duration: 7-10 days
Budget: £3k

You're right.. Portugal is a lot less commercial than some destinations and has a lot of character and charm. Alvor in the Algarve would tick your boxes.

We haven't had a family holiday yet all together - we are a family of 4, 2 girls aged 3 and 4 months!

Our dream holiday destination would be somewhere / anywhere hot in October/November, outside of school holidays. Self catering as fussy toddler. Budget would be 5k for us. My question would be where would be the best place where my parents could come as well? Early 70s and mum has a few mobility issues. We'd love 2 separate living spaces but connected if you see what I mean? So where would be best please for us and parents! Thanks

Hi There…have you ever considered a villa. I think that could be a perfect option to give you lots of space. Travelling outside of the school holidays should help make it more affordable as well. I do think you would be better travelling slightly further afield with being later in the season. Cyprus or the Canary islands would be a perfect option.

My dream holiday destination would be Australia.
Would have to be in the school holidays 14 days
Catering - I think b and b then we would be able to eat out and explore the locality.
Kids ages 14 and 16
budget 12k

My question would be Can this type of holiday be done in stages, so the flights can be reduced, would you able to have a staged long haul holiday, I was thinking 4 days travel each way, and 10 days in Oz.

thanks

Hi there, I travelled to Perth, Australia for 3 weeks with my then 1.5 year old son and my partner. I did the holiday in stages also. I found booking flights direct with no stop over was cheaper than doing a stop over. Direct flights from the UK to Perth Australia start at 17 hours one way.
I rented a holiday home when we were over there. Therefore, we did food shopping and also ate out.
A car hire is a must! Australia is huge and to get to see everything, hiring a car is more cost effective and convenient. In Perth they also have train service. At Perth Airport most of the car rental companies have a desk there. I booked the car hire in advance. They drive on the same side as the UK.

How do I change a name on the booking of a flight with British Airways and also with easy jet.

If you have booked with a travel agent you can contact them and they will take care of it all for you. Otherwise if you booked direct with a airline you would have to contact them to amend. There is normally a fee but it varies from airline.

Italy on on top of my list next year and Ive narrowed it down to sorrento and the Amalfi coast. I’d like to go in September for around 10 days and see as much as I can with day trips and the odd day relaxing by the pool. It’s just me and my partner.
My question is how is the best way to do this? Multi centre holiday? Stay in one place and hire a car? Organised tour holuday? It’s a minefield of options!!!

Wow… Sorrento and Amalfi coast is a wow trip. I would recommend staying in the one place perhaps Sorrento and hiring a car to explore the coast. It will save packing and unpacking and be a more affordable way. Top tip make sure you visit the island of Capri…. You wont regret it.

I flew with TUI to Rhodes last year and loved it. I’m looking further afield for the next holiday and am interested in Mexico. Can you recommend a family friendly resort on the beach with a water park or lazy river and good food choices? Many thanks!

Hi, I holidayed at theGrand Sirenis Riveria Maya Resort with a 9yr & 12yr old. They loved the onsite lazy river, 4 pools & joined the Kids Club too. They could use their inflatables in the pools and got us helping them in the daytime activity challenges. There were a lot of restaurants to choose from & we found the food to a good standard. They even had a lovely coffee shop for my daily fix !

Dream holiday is a villa in Tuscany for me and my 3 grown up DCs, with a pool and preferably onsite chef! I’ll go anytime, I’m easily pleased like that!

My question is, do the agents in your stores have access to holidays that aren’t available online? I saw a Tui shop and suggested popping in earlier today but my daughter said we may as well just look online ourselves.

edited to add: if I win you can use one of my other usernames in your promos Grin

Hello! TUI offers many holiday options, both on and offline.
If you were able to go into one of the TUI stores you would be able to get advice, browse brochures and see what the travel advisor is recommending in real time.
TUI also works with a large number of 3rd party suppliers who sell tours, Villa’s and many other alternative holiday options.

Dream holiday destination: Thailand
Time of year: Just not rainy season!
Peferred catering style: All inclusive
Kids' ages: 8 months, 4
Budget: £3-4k

Question: Will there ever be an AI option that caters for food allergy sufferers? Would LOVE if there was a hotel with allergy trained chefs who could guarantee safe dining for those with multiple food allergies. Even if it meant certain sections of the buffet were out of bounds, or only a few restaurants were on board..

Hello, Thailand is a great choice for a dream holiday.
Thailand is not very driven by the all inclusive package, few hotels will offer it and at quite a high premium, Not to mention that other than its many beautiful attributes Thailand is famous for its cuisine and very cost effective dining out options.
I would suggest looking into the TUI BLUE MAI KHO LAK or Robinson Kho Lak.
Both Hotels have qualified chefs who would be happy to look into options to cater for allergies.
From November to April, great weather and many options available for flying routes.
You may need to be flexible on your budget, depending on the duration.

Dream holiday destination - Croatia
Time of year - Summer holidays 25
Preferred catering style - Half board
Kids' ages - 9 and 11
Budget - £5k

My question would be I'd like to go to Croatia for 2 weeks on a multi centre break - but as I would want 2 destinations would I need to declare this on my holiday insurance ?

Aw wow Croatia such a great destination. I’m glad you are doing a multi centre that will mean you get to see so much of the beautiful destination. Normally you would only need to declare the country of travel to you insurance supplier however I would always check direct with the insurance company .

Wanting to book for late February, canaries or somewhere with a similar climate.

Our son will be 2 and is a snorer. Can you recommend a hotel which has apartments and accommodates all inclusive? Children's pool & playground with a close location to the beach?

It seems so difficult to get accommodation which is bigger than a hotel room which accommodates a separation for the evenings which isn't self catering!

Thank you :)

You could try TUI BLUE Playa Feliz or TUI BLUE Tres Vidas in Gran Canaria. Both have 2 bed apartments with an all inclusive option (shared facilities with the TUI Blue Orquidea). The great thing about these apartments are that you can use the Childcare facilities in the hotel next door including the Baby Club and free Parent and Baby sessions. The transfer is only about 30 minutes too.

Time of year: school summer holidays
Peferred catering style: All inclusive
Kids' ages: 10 and 12
Budget: £3-4k

my question is, why don’t you offer free child places to single parent families? As if life isn’t hard enough. We want affordable holidays too. Seems really discriminatory.

Hi if you pop into your local store they can talk you through a code we have on bookings for single parent families.

Dream destination Greece but also keen to try Spain and any of the island groups.

I need nice, 5 star all inclusive with a good water park for a young teen on site but also things to do and see nearby. Also need a room where DS has a seperate sleeping space and short transfer times.

Going to Stella palace this year which seems to rock most boxes but keen to find somewhere else for next year

budget about 5k for 2 adults and 1 child - any school holidays. Not keen on Egypt or turkey due to attitudes to women and human rights etc

Wow Stella Palace …you will love this hotel, its one of my favourites. I would recommend looking at our Sensatori product to offer that same standard of luxury in a different destination.

How do you find out the kids club activities and the ages please?

If you holiday in a TUI BLUE, Holiday Villages or Magic Life you can download the App and see the programmes and ages of the clubs along with how ro register.
If you choose a Holiday with a TUI Kids Club the ages are 3-6 & 7-12, you will be able to find the activity programme when you get to the resort and information on the TUI website.

Great idea to match your family to the perfect holiday.

I would like somewhere - not too touristy - meaning a more rural quieter part of the resort, but within a couple of hours flight time for us. Are there any family themed resorts (I want to avoid drunk sex mad teenagers lol) But somewhere that my DC's 9 and 13 would really enjoy, beach, sands and a good all inclusive.
Summer 25 - and our budget is around 3K

Hi There, I would recommend one of our family themed Holiday Villages or Spashworlds which are family focussed. They are perfect for a range of children's ages. In particular the Menorca Globales Bouganvilla provide a waterpark included but isn't t0o built up and commercial. They don't build over 2 stories high in Menorca so all low rise buildings and definitely not a hot spot for party goers.

I have a question....

Why were my mum and dad dumped in a conference room at a hotel in Greece and expected to sleep on this conference room floor using a table cloth as a blanket after their flight home was cancelled last week with no rep available from TUI for 15 hours?

My parents booked their holiday with TUI and on their return home last week, they (along with the rest of their plane) were told their flight home was cancelled after checking in. They had to wait 3 hours for their luggage to be taken off the plane and returned to them and following this they were transported to a hotel with all the other passengers on the plane and were dumped in a conference room. No TUI bothering to come for 15hours to explain what was going on.

When TUI eventually turned up, my parents (along with the rest of the plane that included elderly people, a disabled man and families with small children) were told they had to stay in this conference room overnight. My parents had to sleep on the floor with only pillows to put on the floor and use table cloths as blankets. People created their own family spaces out of tables and chairs to create privacy. There was no access to showers.

I can appreciate that the IT glitch was an unprecedented situation but for TUI to treat people this way is beyond despicable. Do not book with TUI.

I can't imagine why they didn't bother replying to my post. 🤔

Indicative of the company to be honest. Don't book with TUI as they let you down when you need them the most.
