Dream holiday destination: Vietnam
Time of year: Summer 25
Preferred catering style: B and B
Kids' ages: 12 and 15
Budget: £4 - 5 k
14 days

SInce I saw the Top Gear Vietnam special this is a country on my wishlist to visit. My question would be is the doable ? Can it be a tour of 3 to 4 days between stops ? If it is not a workable option is there another similar country you would recommend in terms of being not really touristy, with history, beauty and incredible food.

thank you

DanBenandBud · 25/07/2024 09:10

My dream destination would be Japan
Time of year - Summer 25
Preferred catering style - All inclusive
Kids' ages - 9 and 7
Budget - £7k (ish)

Is there a rail sleeper holiday which would accommodate us for part of the journey ?

ByKindOpalPoet · 25/07/2024 21:29

dream holiday destination: either Disney Florida or cruise
time of year: summer holidays 2026
preferred catering style: AI
kids' ages: 7 (at time of flying)
budget: max is 9k but ideally cheaper questions: with the excursions how long would you get in somewhere such as Pompeii? What deals would you be able to offer on either a cruise or Disney?
concerns or any other details: when will summer 2026 go on sale?

TheGirlWithGlassFeet · 25/07/2024 23:27

dream holiday destination -anywhere not too touristy and not too hot
time of year - summer holidays

dream holiday destination - maldives but when the kids are older
time of year - summer school holidays 2025
preferred catering style - Al
, kids' ages 9 and 6
budget 5k but may stretch to more
questions, concerns or any other details - we love TUI BLUE family, especially Turkey and Cyprus but are keen to have some where around high 20s in temp.

What is the difference between TUI blue family, holiday village and magic life?

I also want to give a big thank you to Maria at Tropical Turkey and the kids club manager. My husband ended up in hospital on our holiday, they supported me at the hospital, made sure the kids were looked after all day by the kids club staff, reserved a hotel room when it looked like we wouldn’t be able to fly and then when we could travel arranged a private taxi transfer to make it easier, helped me with our luggage and gave the kids goodie bags for the journey. Amazing service at a really stressful time.

Dream Holiday Destination
I want to take my family to Walt Disney World in Orlando. We'd prefer to stay on International Drive (or do a two-centre holiday to WDW and Universal).

Time of Year
Any time in the year is fine, but it must be in school holidays. Looking at either 2025 or 2026.

Preferred Catering Style
This doesn't really matter. We've done Disneyland Paris with a Meal Plan which was great, but we wouldn't mind needing to buy food.

Kids' Ages
8 and 5 (2025)

Budget
Not sure!

Questions
Is it possible to do a two-centre holiday? I think we'd need car hire regardless so that we can go to other places? Ideally we'd do one or two days in a park, and then have a "rest" day where we went to do other stuff.

Shihtzu76 · 27/07/2024 14:21

Just back from my dream destination-Puglia followed by an Adriatic cruise.
going to my mainstream vacation resort of Orlando in Sept & getting to take the grandkids & parents with us.
-spoiled this year after being ill for 2 years & still have issues.
cant wait

JacCharlton · 29/07/2024 10:32

Dream holiday destination - Croatia
Time of year - Summer holidays 25
Preferred catering style - Half board
Kids' ages - 9 and 11
Budget - £5k

My question would be I'd like to go to Croatia for 2 weeks on a multi centre break - but as I would want 2 destinations would I need to declare this on my holiday insurance ?

chickenpotnoodle · 29/07/2024 12:53

Dream holiday destination - New Zealand
Time of year - Summer holidays or Christmas 25
Preferred catering style - depends on where we are staying and whats around our base
Kids' ages - 9 and 11
Budget - £8k

I'd LOVE a touring holiday of New Zealand (We are all massive Lord of the RIngs fans) are there any bespoke film location holidays out there - if not can Tui help with some of the locations ?

Preggers101 · 29/07/2024 13:03

I have a question! If we were to book an all inclusive type holiday with a 1 and 3 year old, what would happen with the coach transfers? Presumably we need car seats, do we have to bring them with us on the plane? I don't want to take any extra luggage if I can avoid it, as I'll already have enough to carry with 2 kids, suitcases, hand luggage, etc. Is there an alternative option?

itsywitsy · 30/07/2024 11:01

Dream holiday destination - Dream would be Disneyland Orlando - reality Menorca
Time of year - Summer school holidays a week or 10 days
Preferred catering style - All inclusive
Kids' ages - 6 and 9
Budget - £3k

My question would be - I am really put off by going to the Balearics - but the protests against tourism are really making me think twice about going - is this being blown up by the tabloids - if not what are Tui doing about the undercurrents of protests for tourism ??

Needingsomeguidance · 31/07/2024 16:57

Wanting to book for late February, canaries or somewhere with a similar climate.

Our son will be 2 and is a snorer. Can you recommend a hotel which has apartments and accommodates all inclusive? Children's pool & playground with a close location to the beach?

It seems so difficult to get accommodation which is bigger than a hotel room which accommodates a separation for the evenings which isn't self catering!

Thank you :)

Mannilea · 31/07/2024 18:15

What tui blue hotels will have Bamse next year I am aware he is being phased out 🙁

Omgwhatthehell · 31/07/2024 19:09

Dream holiday destination: Italy (again) or maybe Croatia or Greece. Ideally somewhere where it isn’t just a huge tourist strip and you are able to see a little bit of local culture, even if just for one afternoon of the holiday.
Time of year Any time out of school holidays
Preferred catering style All inclusive while DS is little
Kids ages one 2 year old, turning 3 at the end of July 2025
Budget 2.5k max minimum Questions, concerns or any other details
We visited Tui Magic Life Calabria in June and had a fabulous holiday.
My question is whether there are similar quality hotels within our budget for a week’s holiday out of the school holidays? Or should we just book Tui Magic Life Calabria again for 2025?!

Passmetheaero · 31/07/2024 19:47

Dream holiday destination: Ibiza
Time of year: school summer holidays
Peferred catering style: All inclusive
Kids' ages: 10 and 12
Budget: £3-4k

my question is, why don’t you offer free child places to single parent families? As if life isn’t hard enough. We want affordable holidays too. Seems really discriminatory.

CheeseElectric · 31/07/2024 20:18

This is great timing as currently on holiday and looking to plan next year.
Dream destination - Greek island,
in a laid back resort with a bit of character, either a village or a city with an "old town" with plenty of traditional (ish) restaurants. E.g. We liked Koutouloufari/ old Hersonissos but didn't enjoy Hersonissos itself. We have to go at the start of August and like a couple of weeks. We got an absolute steal on this years holiday at 3k for two weeks all inclusive in Turkey in a lovely 3* hotel. But would like to go back to self catering as we miss going out in the evenings. so budget next year would optimistically be between 2 and 3k for SC accommodation and flights. Our son is 9 and loves a pool with a water slide, but it's not vital.
Inspiration on laid back Greek resorts in budget would be great as we are struggling!

catgirl1976 · 31/07/2024 23:33

Dream destination Greece but also keen to try Spain and any of the island groups.

I need nice, 5 star all inclusive with a good water park for a young teen on site but also things to do and see nearby. Also need a room where DS has a seperate sleeping space and short transfer times.

Going to Stella palace this year which seems to rock most boxes but keen to find somewhere else for next year

budget about 5k for 2 adults and 1 child - any school holidays. Not keen on Egypt or turkey due to attitudes to women and human rights etc

Dinoswearunderpants · 01/08/2024 10:40

How do you find out the kids club activities and the ages please?

lillypopdaisyduke · 01/08/2024 14:13

Great idea to match your family to the perfect holiday.

I would like somewhere - not too touristy - meaning a more rural quieter part of the resort, but within a couple of hours flight time for us. Are there any family themed resorts (I want to avoid drunk sex mad teenagers lol) But somewhere that my DC's 9 and 13 would really enjoy, beach, sands and a good all inclusive.
Summer 25 - and our budget is around 3K

Montydoo · 03/08/2024 13:33

We'd love to go to Italy 🇮🇹 but a two centred holiday - City and Beach - We love Barcelona - but is there an Italian equivalent which you would recommend ?
Destination: Italy
Time of year: School holidays - Easter, May 2025
Ages: 11 and 16
Duration: 7-10 days
Budget: £4,000 ish

Grockle · 03/08/2024 15:10

We really struggle as I have 2 autistic children who struggle with busy places! We need somewhere on the beach with guaranteed sunshine, within walking distance of local shops/ restaurants.

We need a quiet pool away from organised activities. No interest in Kids Clubs, football etc. Diving or snorkelling would be nice. We just need good food, good weather, warm water, peace, and ideally somewhere you don't need additional vaccinations for.

Does this exist?

I have a question! We have always done villa holidays, self catering, car, but due to various family issues can no longer do this. I would like to take teenagers away by myself on a self catering package holiday but every time I try to book online on the TUI home page I come up against the fact that the system insists you have an adult in with a "child". So the only way I can do it is to have me and my two teenage boys share a room which would not be a holiday for anyone. How do I book a package holiday with two rooms, when I am the only adult?

dream holiday destination Anywhere with interesting places to visit that you can get to by public transport or there are trips offered; and preferably somewhere beautiful
time of year, Summer holidays
preferred catering style self catering
, kids' ages, 15 and 17
budget £4,000 or under

Edited

Hello there, you can book self catering with 2 double rooms , have your sons share a room and you have the other.
I recently visited Canary Island Self Catering and stayed at Paradise Island with my 2 kids (15,10). It is a walking distance to the beach (15min) but there are also taxis and scooters just outside the hotel. Loads of excursions to keep everyone busy, pick up can be from the hotel. There is also an option of paying for the buffet when you don't fancy leaving the hotel.

dream holiday destination -Portugal
time of year September
preferred catering style Buffet style
kids' ages 2, 8 and 11
budget 5k
questions - Mine is in respect of the catering - I want a good menu choice, but it has to be healthy safe food - so are hotel kitchens inspected, can I request the menus ahead of booking so that I can be confident that there is something for everyone, and the kitchen is a clean safe place for food prep - with trained staff.

thank you

Hi there, you can contact the hotel directly in advance to ask about dietary requirements. There’s also a few discover articles such as www.tui.co.uk/discover/best-gluten-free-holidays on our website around allergens and best hotel suggestions around this.
A slightly different destination, I went to St Lucia with my then one year old and was keen to know how I could access fresh milk. I emailed the hotel in advance with my room number to ask where I could get fresh milk and if the hotel could accommodate this. They replied back efficiently and gave us instructions on where and who to ask. They also provided fresh milk to our room on the day we arrived at the hotel.

I'd love to go to Disney Land in America - it's our dream holiday. The time of year is not that important - although it needs to be in the school holidays - but at a good price - with a deal if possible (spending money at the park for example).
My budget would be around 4 k.
So my question would be, if I select the room only option, how easy can it be to change my booking to tailor the meals option, or can there be a self catering room where I can prepare breakfasts and a light lunch to take with us in a cool bag ?

www.tui.co.uk/destinations/deals/disney-florida-deals
Hi … Walt Disney World Florida is a dream family holiday that you will remember forever. You will have a fantastic time. The self catering option would be a great way for you to stick to budget and have breakfast before you hit the parks. You can take snack drinks and launch into the parks. I would recommend taking water bottles with you are there is a refillable ice water machine for free around the parks. Also great options for food delivery service from local supermarkets. Regards dates the American schools go back at the start of August so after that is always a good time to go with you having to stick to school holidays.Enjoy the trip of a lifetime and say Hi to Mickey for me.

What would my options be if I booked a holiday in 2026- and as has happened to us in the past, my flight times have changed from a reasonable daytime flight to a redeye flight ?
I want to go to Mallorca, a hotel with good childcare and activities budget is 3k for 3 of us - 2 adults and 1 child age 7.
If we had our flights changed - can I cancel - or move flights but keep the holiday ?

Hi… Unfortunately, we do sometimes have to change flight times due to operational changes. If it's a significant change we would offer a free amendment to a new flight. Majorca would be great for a family holiday, lots of nice family friendly resorts and the short flight time is always a win when travelling with children.
