Many people have turned to baking to keep busy and raise their spirits during the lockdown. It’s a fun way to keep the children entertained, even if they sneakily help themselves to the chocolate chips when you’re not looking, and is very rewarding when the whole family gets to dig-in to a tasty cake fresh out of the oven. With this in mind, Betty Crocker would love for you to share a picture of the cakes and bakes that you have made with your family.

DDs birthday cake

We made ginger breAd men but didn’t have chocolate chips or smarties and because we couldn’t nip to the shop we made do with what we had.

My birthday cake: made by DD (15) involving every bowl and utensil, and an 'incident' with the hand mixer which resulted in a spray of cake mix across the ceiling and walls. We have not been able to buy icing sugar, so it is decorated with melted chocolate and chocolate buttons. It was huge, very dense - more like a cookie than cake and, erm, a bit unusual. But, made with love, which mattered most of all.

Not strictly baking, but a lemon and raspberry cheesecake for my DD's birthday. It's the first time I've ever made a cheesecake and it's awesome!

A rainbow cake which we shared (very carefully) with 30 neighbours last night after we clapped tor the NHS. Lots of ingredients sourced over 2 weeks!

Birthday cake we made for my aunt, didn’t have much in the way of decorations so poured sprinkles over a heart shaped bowl!

My daughter wanted a leopard print cake...we couldn't get proper flour, or large amounts of icing sugar. It's far from my normal standard of cake, but she was very happy

DH bought me some cookie cutters, so I made these delightful cookies for the family.
The teenage DCs took some persuading to eat them though, apparently the drippy white icing on the end was off putting somehow...

Cakes for our wee Henrys birthday!

I made a Devil’s Food Cake, but didn’t actually get to taste it because it was for my husband to take to work to cheer them all up a bit (he’s a hospital doctor). I did get to lick the bowl though which was, frankly, a treat!

This is a rhubarb and custard blondie I made from a website recipe. Very tasty!
