I'm an eco warrior (and proud of it) but I am particular about my laundry. Can you believe I spent the first 20 years of my marriage with a twin tub because I really believed what my parents and others said about automatics not getting your washing clean? I will be forever grateful to the friend I ran Playgroup with for giving me her old machine 'just to try' she said with a smirk on her face.That cast off machine lasted a few years and when it eventually packed in I had no hesitation in buying a replacement automatic (and getting it plumbed in rather than having to attach the pipes to the kitchen sink taps each time I wanted to use it.....ah those were the days!!!!!)
