What are the age(s) of your DCs that watched ZooMoo? Which show(s) did your children watch?
My daughter is 5. She watched ZooMoo's Got Brains. It was an animal game show and they Lost.

Which Pay-TV provider did you view ZooMoo shows on? How easy was it to locate the programmes?
we use Sky and was pretty easy

Out of 5, how many stars would you give ZooMoo? How many would your DC give it? (where 1 = did not enjoy at all and 5 = really enjoyed it) 3. She had some mild enjoyment

How do you feel ZooMoo compares to other well-known kids TV shows and channels available?
okay, but she prefers other things

Do you feel that ZooMoo adds value to your current Pay TV subscription?
Not really for us

emmav6 · 19/10/2017 13:34

i think my 2 year old was a little confused with what the animals were, she loves to watch animal themed tv shows but this didn't really catch her attention

MrsKJoJo · 19/10/2017 14:17

My children are age 8 and 5, the youngest throughly enjoyed watching the programme. From the beginning as the music started she was fully engaged with the screen. The song is quite catchy too. I found the characters a little computerised but my daughter had no issue with how they looked. Voices are cute and names of characters my daughter remembered right away as they have the same letter as the animal type. She would watch more of these and as it’s new and a fun and colourful program I could watch another with her.

I watched Origanimals with my 5 year old son and 4 year old daughter.

Did you both enjoy the program?
My children told me they really liked it and thought it was good. My sons favourite character was Ryan the Rhino and my daughters favourite was Zoe the Zebra. My daughter loved the song at the beginning and the end and danced to it. I thought it was very catchy and started singing it with the kids! I loved how bright the colours were and we all loved the origami treehouse and slides. We will definitely watch it again.

Would you watch more ZooMoo TV shows?
Looking through the different shows, we would watch Origanimals and Boing - I don't think the other shows would appeal to my children.

Do you think that ZooMoo TV adds value to a TV subscription?
Yes because of the variety it adds to childrens TV.

Which Pay-TV provider did you view ZooMoo shows on?
Now TV.

How easy was it to locate the programmes?
Very easy.

Out of 5, how many stars would you give ZooMoo?
4 because of the quality or Origanimals, but the other shows do not look as good except for Boing.

How many would your DC give it? (where 1 = did not enjoy at all and 5 = really enjoyed it).
5 because they loved Origanimals and don't really understand channels

How do you feel ZooMoo compares to other well-known kids TV shows and channels available?
I think the Origanimals show is great, and it is much more bright and colourful than any other kids shows I have seen. It reminded me a little bit of Go Jetters (which my kids love) on CBeebies with the catchy song and where they go to different countries and to save the day while learning about them. I don't think that there are enough good shows on ZooMoo to be competing with the likes of cBeebies, the Disney Channel or Nick Jr because my children could watch those channels all day and not get bored because they like 80% of their shows. However, I think 2 of ZooMoo's shows are brilliant and if the channel created more shows to match the quality and entertaining factor of Origanimals and Boing, then the channel could really grow and eventually become more mainstream.

rocketriffs · 20/10/2017 08:37

Age 7
Watched the episode at top of thread
2 stars
He wasn't convinced and thought it looked rubbish
Not at all.

mata777 · 20/10/2017 13:13

My 3 year old daughter didn't want to finish watching the episode, it didn't interest her that much - and she loves animals. We watched the Reach for the Sky one. We would give it 3 rating as there is lots of other programs that kids can watch without paying. So no, it doesn't add value.

sweir1 · 20/10/2017 21:18

What are the age(s) of your DCs that watched ZooMoo? Which show(s) did your children watch?

  • Which Pay-TV provider did you view ZooMoo shows on? How easy was it to locate the programmes?
Sky, yes easy
  • Out of 5, how many stars would you give ZooMoo? How many would 3
  • How do you feel ZooMoo compares to other well-known kids TV shows and channels available?
My kids like it as much
Hopezibah · 20/10/2017 22:04

my daughter is 5.
She started to comment by saying "this is weird". Then she said "this is funny". THen she was engaged with watching it and at the end she said "I really loved it - it's amazing" .

I'm not sure how different it is from anything else to be honest in terms of adding value to a pay for service, but i suppose if it is designed to appeal to kids and they love it then that is doing it's job.

What are the age(s) of your DCs that watched ZooMoo? Which show(s) did your children watch?

DS is 5. Can't remember what it was called.

Which Pay-TV provider did you view ZooMoo shows on? How easy was it to locate the programmes?

We used Sky, and it was easy enough to locate.

Out of 5, how many stars would you give ZooMoo? How many would your DC give it? (where 1 = did not enjoy at all and 5 = really enjoyed it)

DS gave it 4 stars. Said it wasn't as good as other shows.
I more or less agree with him.

How do you feel ZooMoo compares to other well-known kids TV shows and channels available?

I quite enjoyed it haha, DS enjoyed it too, and it captivated his attention, but for him it's probably at the bottom of his favourites.

Do you feel that ZooMoo adds value to your current Pay TV subscription?

Not necessarily either way. I mean now that we've watched it, I don't think either of us would miss it if it was gone, but we don't hate it either. I find it quite interesting though, so could be something we can include in.

I'm confused as to the questions, but we watched the imbedded video. My son is 4 and enjoyed it though it was almost a bit too long. He liked the colours and the characters and the storyline. I enjoyed it as it was colourful and gentle and both my 2 and 4 year old can enjoy it together. I don't think we would seek it out particularly, it wasn't something he has asked to watch more of.

pixiekim · 23/10/2017 11:37

Age 2
Sky & pretty easy to find
2 stars from me, maybe 3 from dc
My dc didn't seem too interested overall tbh & asked to watch something else after a few minutes.
Not really I'm afraid

lexy2009 · 23/10/2017 11:40

Age 5 & 6 and they watched 'lost'
Watched it on sky
3 stars They liked it but didn't really talk about if afterwards they way they do other shows
They would watch it if it was on but it wouldn't sway my decision to buy a particular tv sub

emilygal · 24/10/2017 06:01

Not sure where these standard questions about subscription viewing came from? But in response to the op, we watched the YouTube episode.

My daughter is 4. I didn’t really engage with the episode and prefer Octonaughts for learning about nature. Seemed a bit low budget and the pace wasn’t great. Daughter liked it at first. She wanted to know why the animals had funny edges. I said they looked like they were made from Origami. Then we discussed what Origami was. She wanted to know if we could make the fox out of origami and I said probably not as it’d be too complicated. She then got bored with the show and started reading her book instead. Based on the one episode I probably wouldn’t seek out the tv subscription as I don’t feel it’d add any value to the main channels

katieskatie82 · 24/10/2017 10:24

my dd is nearly 2 years old and she loved it!! x

outnumbered77 · 24/10/2017 12:35

We watched the embedded YouTube episode (had a giraffe in it!). My daughter is 4. She seemed to enjoy it but didn’t ask to watch any more so wasn’t too impressed by it. She didn’t understand the origami aspect at all. I wouldn’t seek this out and don’t think I currently subscribe to anything that includes it.

JayJay1874 · 24/10/2017 13:04

Did you both enjoy the program?
Yes, it was definitely fun. They particularly loved the songs and warmed to the animal characters quickly.

Would you watch more ZooMoo TV shows?
Having tried this, it'll definitely encourage us to check out more.

Do you think that ZooMoo TV adds value to a TV subscription?
There are already a lot of channels aimed at children but it's great to have even more variety so there's definitely value there.
