If I had £325 extra, i'd use it for a little treat for myself (max £100) and put the rest towards birthday/christmas presents. My daughters birthday is november and then christmas is december so its a tight couple of months!

DoneAdulting · 04/09/2017 22:23

I would put it towards our holiday to Disneyland

blamethecat · 04/09/2017 22:25

Driving lessons.

socat · 04/09/2017 22:25

New cooker or blow @ Christmas!

rutsan · 04/09/2017 22:27

I would put it towards my wedding in 2019 :)

jelleng · 04/09/2017 22:29

Take my bestie to a spa day so i can treat her for a change

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/09/2017 22:29

I'd put it towards an iPad Pro for Dh.

I've been told I'm silly for saving to go to New York for this reason but my son aged 10 who has special needs absolutely loves King Kong.
He truly believes he is real and lives on the Empire State Building and is desperate to go to New York to look for King Kong.
My son has been through an awful 5 years but King Kong is something that takes his mind off things.

I'm saving everything I can to get him to New York so I would put the money towards this trip.

I've been told I'm nuts taking him as King Kong won't actually be there when we get there, so if there is any kind Mumsnetter willing to dress up as King Kong and scale the Empire State Building when I finally manage to get him there please let me know! Grin

A new mattress so we can get a good night's sleep.

pongopig · 04/09/2017 22:35

I would treat myself to some clothes that I wouldn't normally buy - cashmere jumper, nice leather boots, maybe a leather bag. The rest would be spent on some treat food.

Ollivander84 · 04/09/2017 22:36

£325 a year I would use to do some more redecoration in my house. Paint has been pretty cheap for me and it's a job I find really relaxing strangely!
Also to top up my cats whiskas treats obsession!

ShatnersBassoon · 04/09/2017 22:38

I'd buy a leather jacket I've been looking at. It's ridiculous really and a silly waste of money, but I could justify getting it if it was a windfall.

hdh747 · 04/09/2017 22:38

I'd get all the Xmas shopping done.

krankers1982 · 04/09/2017 22:41

I would put some of it in my childrens dinner money parent pay account so i wouldnt have to worry about dinners for a while and fix the car x

500internalerror · 04/09/2017 22:43

Well.... I'd like to think we'd do something extravagant like a holiday. But actually we'd put it up for Xmas, or get an oven that actually works! Or buy some trees to plant along the back garden, having just lost all our privacy to a massive extension by next door Hmm

fld14 · 04/09/2017 22:44

I would put it into our holiday fund :)

AuFinch · 04/09/2017 22:44

I know exactly what I would treat myself to - a Gtec Air Ram (and the rest I would use for the family Christmas luxury food/treats)!
The reason is, we have one of those honking big numatic henry vacuums and seriously i am wet through with sweat each time i vacuum our home! It would be so nice to be posh and use an air ram without needing a shower afterwards!

Spices001 · 04/09/2017 22:45

My daughters birthday & Christmas would be paid for :-)

BrieAndChilli · 04/09/2017 22:45

Right now? I'd put it towards a go karting party for DS2 as at the moment can't quite stretch the budget,

Ganne1 · 04/09/2017 22:46

What I'd like to do is to hire some storage space, so I can rid the house of all the things the kids insist they want but can't be bothered to come and collect them to take to their places!

nigelh66 · 04/09/2017 22:48

I would get a new bed as mine is quite old and it is time for a new one in my dreams :)

nlynch1907 · 04/09/2017 22:55

I would buy a new winter wardrobe

glenka · 04/09/2017 22:57

I would put it towards a well deserved hoilday.

buckley1983 · 04/09/2017 23:00

We'd put it towards a guest bed! At the moment, whenever we have guests - we give up our bed & we sleep on a double airbed - while this is very noble of us (even if I do say so myself!) - it's bloody uncomfortable & we end up waking each other up each time we move half an inch! Not to mention, the bed has deflated by a good 50% by the morning, so we have both rolled into the dip in the middle!

RedPandaMama · 04/09/2017 23:06

I'd spend it on taking myself, my partner and our baby girl on a weekend away somewhere peaceful, probably to a nice woodland lodge in the Lake District with it's own hot tub! I never got to take DP away for his birthday as we had some money troubles at the time (me finishing uni, us moving house, him starting new job etc). After a hard year I can't imagine anything more wonderful. It's what I'm saving for (secretly!) at the moment.
