Our first family holiday!

purplepandas · 09/09/2017 17:05

Pay for DD3's party ( soon!) and DD2's pressies (oct) plus party bits.

linnyloupiglet · 09/09/2017 17:54

spider assassination kit at the moment - just found one that should be paying rent!! (a spider that is) need to move out by going on holiday soon. x

mynellie · 09/09/2017 18:22

I think it would go to pay the car insurance and house insurance as it is great to be able to pay them annually as then no interest for monthly payments would be great

MTBMummy · 09/09/2017 18:56

I'd probably split it between DD and DS, some horse riding lessons for her, and dance for him, both have been really good at putting up with living on a tight budget while I've been unemployed for the last 18 months, and I'd like to treat them.

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 09/09/2017 19:21

I'd be able to properly host all my family at Christmas. There aren't loads of us (9 including my family of four) but we could buy a camp bed and then have a great knees up after a tricky year for a variety of reasons.

wobblywindows · 09/09/2017 19:38

I would keep it "in my back pocket" for treats and expenses - the sort of thing like cubs uniform for grandson, spontaneous meal out with family, perfume for me, new shoes (emergency!) for darling daughter. Each of which might cost around £30 mark and so more than I can comfortably afford on the regular budget. But being able to dip into a "treat fund" occasionally through the year is so nice!

MargoChanning · 09/09/2017 19:47

I would put it towards a new washer dryer as mine has just gone kaput!

DjangoUnchained · 09/09/2017 20:33

I would spend it all on a night in a London hotel and afternoon tea with DH. It's been s hard year and we could do with it quite frankly WineCake

TheOnlyPurpleLlama · 09/09/2017 21:00

I'd invest £125 into expanding my business.

£125 on DH's debt.

£40 on a cheap-ish meal out.

£35 on Christmas days out Smile.

NotTodayBillyRay · 09/09/2017 21:22

I would spend it on a trip for my dc. We've had a rubbish year (their grampy died, we're losing our home and ds2 has attempted suicide twice) so they could do with something fun and to remind them that life's not all bad

thismeansnothing · 09/09/2017 21:46

Sod it id be frivolous. As it could very easily be £325 that I wouldn't have had anyway so I'd have budgeted not to have it. So I'd get myself some new gym kit and finally replace the CD player that broke the other week. Yes I still like to listen to cds and hate this new thing for streaming music

Jengle · 09/09/2017 21:50

I would get us all ready for winter! Winter boots and coats for us all, and my children love buying new slippers and dressing gowns for cosy evenings in.

tootsieglitterballs · 09/09/2017 22:06

I'd selfishly buy myself a really decent pair of super comfy and practical yet stylish boots! And then another pair for when they wear out!

Currently about 30 weeks pregnant, with fat feet that have gone up half a size, nothing I own fits, apart from my sandals!

And with anything leftover, I'd treat DH and DS to a day out (or maybe just a coffee and babychino... depends on how pricey the boots are!!)

pfcpompeysarah · 09/09/2017 22:09

I would spend half on xmas presents and the rest I would put into the gas meter for this winter as I am already worried about how much the heating is going to set me back!!

WheresTheCoffee · 09/09/2017 22:46

I'd buy DH and the kids a decent winter coat and boots!

Solo · 09/09/2017 23:03

£325 would pay for the new internal doors I would like here, at home

monkeysox · 10/09/2017 00:06

Decorate our bedroom. Grin

cwalliss82 · 10/09/2017 06:25

I would put it towards a new car as I know that mine isn't going to make it through it's MOT this winter.

CCLondon · 10/09/2017 06:38

As the one that deals with all the household shopping and bills, all the birthday present buys (including my own!), all the school uniform fittings and never ending need for new shoes, all the school lunch and after school activity sorting and the dreaded birthday party planning I think I would take that money and spend it on a spa break just for me.

Shockers · 10/09/2017 07:41

I'd buy some Chie Mihara shoes for work. I have wonky feet and have just been told that I can't wear my terrifically comfy superga pumps anymore. I work in a behavioural school and have to be very quick on my feet at times!

Helsbells68 · 10/09/2017 08:51

It would go towards the bicycle my daughter want to improve her health.

robbo86otm · 10/09/2017 09:57

I need furniture, carpets etc for my flat so if I won it would go towards that

dilydaly · 10/09/2017 10:44

I'd love to say that I'd treat myself, or that it would go towards a holiday but chances are that it would go on bills or put away for a rainy day :D I'd enjoy mentally spending it on myself though ! :D

samcornfield · 10/09/2017 12:10

I would buy myself a fitness tracker watch to help with my new diet and exercise regime
