Taking your child to a farm, or the countryside, can be a great way to create the kind of moment of joy that really stays with you. It’s often a brilliant opportunity to educate your child and connect with nature at the same time. Cadbury would like to hear about the funny observations you remember your child making when they first visited a farm or the countryside.

Did they theatrically complain about the smell? Maybe they got confused over animal names, or perhaps embraced the noise and start mooing or oinking? Maybe they started making jokes about the “udderly great time” they were having? Could they get their heads around the fact that eggs or milk come from a farm?

Whatever the funny things your children have said whilst visiting a farm or the countryside, share them below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

Animals are currently designated by the noise they make, so a recent farm visit was delightedly full of cluck clucks and baa baas. The alpacas were more of a challenge, and declared after some confused wondering to be neighs.

My daughter, a few months ago aged 2 was walking around a large pond with me. She declared, 'look Mummy, lilly iPads!!!' They have been called that ever since in our home.

We walked past a herd of cows and (as if they saw us coming) they proceeded to start trying to mate with eachother! Red faced (and hoping the children wouldn't notice) my friend and I hurried along. But alas, they thought it was hugely entertaining, turning round and exclaiming, "Look, mummy! The cows are having piggy backs!" :-D

My DS was convinced that baby animals are made by the boy weeing into the female animals belly button. A long discussion obviously followed on from this gem!

Ds's first school trip in Reception was to a farm.
Asked what he thought. It was the Best Thing Ever, apparently.

I asked what was so good about it.
"We saw a COW WEEING!!!" Went on for ages...

When my DD was 4 we took a walk around the back roads and the farms where we lived. We got chatting to one of the farmers when my daughter suddenly exclaimed " Look mummy, the cow is giving the other cow a piggy back!"...I didn't have the courage to talk to her about the birds and the bees so the cows are still piggy backing.
