We have been asked by the team at Makers Academy to find out what you think about the fascinating world of coding.

They say "Makers Academy is a fully immersive, 12 week computer programming bootcamp. It's like Oxbridge meets the Royal Marines, but for people learning to code. It’s designed to turn people with no knowledge of web-development into job-ready junior developers in just 12 weeks. We’re Europe’s #1 Developer Bootcamp, running a new class of 25 highly selected students every 6 weeks".

"Ronin, Makers Academy’s latest offering, allows you to enrol at Makers Academy, and enjoy all the benefits of being a student at Makers Academy, without ever having to leave the comfort of your own home".

They go on to say "we take a "learn by doing" approach, through self-directed, project-based work. Students are encouraged to work in pairs on practical coding challenges, with weekly tests, culminating in a final project presented to hiring partners on "Graduation Day". We actively support and mentor our graduates into work, helping set up job interviews with our extensive network of hiring partners. Of the 300+ students we've taught so far, almost everybody who has finished our course with the intention of becoming a developer has achieved this within 3 months of graduating or less".

~ Have you ever considered a career as a web developer? If not, why not?
Yes, and have learnt a bit of HTML back in the 90's. I feel it's not enough now to create a proper website and chose a career closer to my talents.

Are your older DC interested in coding?
My oldest DD is 8 and I'm planning to show her the Barclays Father Day Card coding website. She loves Minecraft but had no exposure to coding before.

~ What would you do if you knew how to code?
Build apps I guess.

~ What do you think are the biggest barriers to coding?
For me it's time, plus I'm not very good at maths, but I think the latter isn't a big obstacle.

~ What do you find interesting about coding?
That you can create working apps, software and websites. Also how everything is dead logical.

~ So, have you ever considered a career as a web developer? If not, why not? Are your older DC interested in coding?

Not really as a career, but would love to develop websites in my own time. I do graphic design and it would be great to be able to do my own projects.

~ What would you do if you knew how to code?

See above.

~ What do you think are the biggest barriers to coding?

For me it's time. I've started a couple of online courses but always struggle to finish them. It's hard to combine studying with a full time job.

~ What do you find interesting about coding?

The ability to create web projects that generate revenue. I like coding itself too, it's like solving a puzzle. I like learning new things.

IBM cloud stage is a full-stack distributed computing administration dependent on foundation as a help (IaaS) and stage as an assistance (PaaS) model, which permits enterprises, everything being equal, and areas to construct their cloud applications, stockpiling arrangements on distributed computing workers of the organization. It offers multi-cloud organization controlled by open-source advances like OpenShift and Kubernetes. It likewise offers a multi-cloud IBM cloud movement fueled by different registering alternatives like holders, virtual machine VM, and surprisingly uncovered metals. IBM cloud is perhaps the most impressive distributed computing stages fueled by front line man-made brainpower, information investigation, application advancement. An IBM guaranteed distributed computing foundation designer can assist organizations with misusing every one of those highlights and abilities of an IBM stage to give full advantages of the IBM cloud to the organizations. A cloud arrangement modeler IBM can all the more likely use the programming expertise of a Rust designer in building up the custom cloud arrangements that satisfy all necessities of a business on IBM cloud. The productive utilization of containerized application improvement, Watson AI, many IBM cloud administrations, and many related apparatuses to help organizations upgrade their business main concerns is conceivable just when organizations employ an expert with IBM cloud modeler accreditation and involvement with the business. Would great be able to essay composing truly be consolidated down into only 8 stages? Indeed, while the facts demonstrate that there is a ton that goes into scholarly composition of any sort, you must buy essay online for great result.

So, have you ever considered a career as a web developer? If not, why not?

Have never considered it myself. I think my generation had to "learn computers" and so anything beyond that feels scary. I remember my very first experiences of a computer was about how easily it could go wrong. We had 2 BBC (?) computers in our primary school which used big floppy discs and whoever put the disc in the wrong order (there was a specific order to turning the machine on and putting the disc in) would break the computer and was not popular with the teachers for weeks. Those early scary experiences of computers have put me off learning anything beyond the essentials. However, I did become interested in html coding in the early days of the internet gaining popularity and I remember the thrill of getting it to work so I can see the appeal of coding for some people.

Are your older DC interested in coding?
Yes all 3 of my kids are interested in it.

What would you do if you knew how to code?
I'm not sure I understand enough about the practical uses of it to know what I would do.

~ What do you think are the biggest barriers to coding?
Not understanding enough about it. I would love to hear practical examples of it rather than just about coding being about programming computers to do something. I want to know examples of what and how.
~ What do you find interesting about coding?
As above - the thrill of being able to master it as a skill.
