TalkTalk has asked us to find out how Mumsnetters enjoy their favourite TV.

Here’s what TalkTalk says, "Nothing beats sinking into the sofa, putting your feet up and switching off in front of your favourite TV show after a long day. But have you ever wondered what your TV favourites say about you?

We have created a fun quiz to help you find out. With YouView from TalkTalk now being Britain's fastest growing TV service, it's quickly becoming the home of family entertainment. We questioned families to uncover what the nation enjoys most about TV, and see how catch up, the ability to pause, rewind and record live TV, and instantly watch on demand movies, sport and kids programs have improved our viewing.

We found eight different types of TV viewers or 'TV Tribes' ranging from 'Family Guys' who enjoy nothing more than bringing the family together to watch their favourite programmes to 'Secret Viewers' who tell everyone they watch the likes of Newsnight but secretly revel in trash TV."

So, first off, take TalkTalk’s TV tribes quiz here and let us know which tribe you belong to. Do you think it’s accurate? How do you watch TV with your family? We'd love to hear about it so please post your comments below.

Everyone who shares their TV viewing habits on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

I'm an Elitist, which is true. So much rubbish on TV that you have to be selective.

I'm a 'me-timer' that enjoys quality dramas, watching box sets back-to-back and like to watch uninterrupted - sounds about write, I even wrote my thesis on quality U.S. television

Apparently I'm a scret viewer which isn't accurate at all. I watch all sorts of crap on tv and in not ashamed to admit it ha!

I am a me-timer. Yes in an ideal world I like to watch in peace without interruption although I'm happy to watch a joint programme with my DH (if he stays quiet during it)!

According to this I'm the extrovert and have big TV parties and watch big sport events!! What a load of horse manure! I watch telly with my husband on the sofa with a cuppa or a beer. We watch stuff on netflix and prefer the US dramas you can binge watch - breaking bad, OITNB, House of Cards etc (looking for something good to watch of this ilk if anyone has suggestions by the way). When the kids are up its all their telly when its on. We also like movies and use netflix for that. We hardly watch any mainstream channels now and find BBC dramas very hammy or very violent against women (especially intelligent women: Luther was a big let down in this department). The only good thing from the BBC in the last few years has been Sherlock.

Another elitist here which is amusing (I so am not!) I do actually like watching tv but usually watch it whilst working (so not really watching properly). I rarely sit down to watch a programme I really like but that is more an issue of time to be honest.
