Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Egg ‘n’ Spoon is back for another Easter!

For those of you who don’t know what Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon is – every box contains four chocolate eggs, each brimming with a light and fluffy mousse, packaged with little purple spoons and all wrapped up inside a real purple egg carton. Cadbury say "As chocolate treats go, we think they’re a little more exciting than your everyday variety and just a peel, bite and spoon away from a shared treat moment Grin".

So to help celebrate the return of Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon, Cadbury have asked us to find out about those spontaneous joyful little moments you share with your DCs. Whether it’s a flour-covered giggling fit after an hour’s baking session gone-messy, when your DC says something at completely the wrong time (cue much Blush all round), or the time when an innocent car washing session turned into a mad water fight… Big or small, if it’s a shared moment filled with joy, Cadbury want to hear about it. You could even have a photo lurking on your phone you're willing to share which perfectly sums up these kind of moments Smile

For a chance to win a £200 John Lewis voucher please share your stories and/or photos on this thread of joyful spontaneous moments you and your child have shared. Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into the prize draw.

Thanks,
MNHQ

DD1 makes me laugh out loud at least once a day at something she says. We also giggle a lot playing catch - she squeals with delight as we run around chasing each other. I can't remember any specific stories. There's just lots of little things each day that make me smile & laugh.

DD2 fills me with joy every time she smiles and laughs. She loves being kissed - its guaranteed to make her giggle.

Pinter · 27/01/2014 06:49

My DD hates having her nappy changed & getting dressed generally

The tears are resolved by raspberry blowing on the tummy & feet

Her giggle is just lovely Grin

tracypenisbeaker · 27/01/2014 07:04

I know this is a really silly one, but my baby has started to properly smile for the first time, and today he was giving me his best gummy grin ever, and at the same time he did the loudest fart .It made me laugh so hard and go 'awwwww' at the same time. He is a very demanding baby and finding the time to make a cup of tea is like a military operation, (my OH is at uni during the day) but when he smiles it makes me beam with joy and reminds me what my life is all about. For gawd sake, I'm crying a bit now which is daft because i wasnt going to write on the thread originally, but it reminded me of what he did today and i was surprised at how he lifted my mood. Yes, a fart Blush

CheeseTMouse · 27/01/2014 11:06

Putting my daughter in her high chair for the first time yesterday - she stopped crying and just had a look of "oooh, this is all terribly interesting" and was then smiling away. It's almost as if you can see her brain whirring away with the next plan! Seeing her grow and discover new things is a delight.

telsa · 27/01/2014 11:23

dashing off to the canal as soon as there is a crack of sunlight and feeding the ducks - that's really nice.
Also, making really silly improvised plays with the DC on an app from Pollocks Theatre and playing them back to much hilarity.

Last year, when it snowed heavily, DS's school was closed at lunchtime. We spent the afternoon having snowball fights in the garden and I taught him how to make snow angels. Then we put our pyjamas on and had hot chocolate. It sounds so cheesy but it was just the perfect afternoon - unexpectedly off work/school, lots of fun and giggles!

MakeTeaNotWar · 27/01/2014 13:51

Just yesterday my 15 month old learned that only can he say the word "jump" but also carry it out - cue an hour of him hollering "juuuuump" then flinging himself off the sofa onto cushions below. He had us all - especially 3 year old DD - howling with belly laughter

UriGeller · 27/01/2014 14:39

Just eaten all four of the little fuckers. Didn't use the spoon though. I'm having trouble lately with chocolate (my digestive system rebels) but I was prepared to take the risk and I bloody did it!

They're quite small aren't they?

UriGeller · 27/01/2014 14:41

You might notice that has nothing to do with children. Nope. Grin

AndHarry · 27/01/2014 19:51

One of my favourite memories is when DS was just coming up to 2 years old. We were at the park outside a museum and we found a set of deep muddy puddles. I stood waaaaay back while he jumped up and down in each one. We were there for ages and I just loved the look of glee on his face as he made the biggest splashes he could. Lots of people walked past and said how lovely it was to see a little one having such messy fun!

ChaffinchOfDoom · 27/01/2014 19:57

sheer moment of joy when I got home from work to find a picture of me hanging on my bedroom door, complete with labels ''nice irrings'' ''shorts with sunflowers on'' and more from my gorgeous 7yo.

As I am generally grumpy, nauseous and not fun from HG, plus a walking beachball on legs from being 30 weeks pg, she made me weep a few tears. We had a lovely snug as she explained it all to me Grin

Nittyb · 27/01/2014 22:08

Getting dry after a bath on mum & dads bed, ends up with rolling them up like a sausage roll in the towel , pulling it and watching them unroll and giggle uncontrollably , hours of fun :-)

TheZeeTeam · 27/01/2014 23:25

They don't exist here. Can you please send me 6 so our family can try them? You know, in the interest of not leaving out us poor aliens. Wink

TheZeeTeam · 27/01/2014 23:26

Actually, I misread the op. I thought you were all sharing joyful moments you'd had with your children whilst eating Egg'n'Spoons. Blush
But hey, Cadburys! Feel free to send a few over here anyway!

whattoWHO · 28/01/2014 07:47

So many!

Puddle jumping, singing carols on the way home from school (in January, making everyone else in the high street smile),tickle fights.

The day she decided to make a mud bath in the garden, wearing silly things on her head, hiding under her mountain of teddies.

And many more!

Jinty64 · 28/01/2014 10:56

DSs 2&3 were 10 and 8 when DS3 (7) was born. Now they are teenagers they take little to do with him and find him a bit of a pest. Due to sensory issues DS2 doesn't like to be touched so imagine my amazement when I discovered them having a "tickle fight". They just couldn't stop laughing and neither could I. I wish I'd had a video!

MadMonkeys · 28/01/2014 11:13

Unbridled happiness generally involves splashing in the bath, jumping and splashing in puddles or running whooping in the great outdoors!

clubnail · 28/01/2014 12:24

So many!!!

First one that came to mind, DS (three) loves vacuuming, but our Dyson is too big for him. His joyous little face when we found him a child's size version is a picture I will treasure. And he brings his vacuum cleaner out every time we do the vacuuming, following us round with his, grinning all the time.

CointreauVersial · 28/01/2014 13:13

Like many families, nothing is so funny as a burping competition after lunch. It reduces the DCs to tears of laughter, particularly if DH joins in. We're so immature. Blush

Or unexpectedly driving five times round a roundabout. That always sets the passengers off giggling and shrieking.

cspinks12 · 28/01/2014 14:02

I bought my sister a lovely pair of slippers for Christmas and showed them to my daughter. I loved them so much I kept them for myself and told my daughter. just before Christmas I visited my mam and dad and my sister was there and the little devil broke her neck to tell her. we were all in fits of laughter and I have now learnt never to tell her anything and if I buy someone a present don't keep it for myself!!!

cspinks12 · 28/01/2014 14:25

I bought my sister a pair of lovely slippers for Christmas, in fact they were so nice I kept them for myself. unfortunately I showed my daughter them previously and told them they were for her auntie. she saw me wearing them and told me off and said they were for her auntie, I had to tell her not to say anything.
just before Christmas we went to visit my mam and dad and my sister was there. my daughter broke her neck to tell my sister about her slippers we were all in fits of laughter and will be a family joke for quite some time I think. I have learnt never to tell her anything and to never keep a present that I have bought someone else.

Happiestinwellybobs · 28/01/2014 21:00

When my beautiful 2 year old is playing with our dog. The squeals of excitement as they charge around the house, or as she tries to put chalk on him, or make him play buses with her :)

majjsu · 28/01/2014 22:11

My little girl is 3 and she loves to pull funny faces, inherited from me, I think. The thing is she looks so cute and cheeky, the faces look all very similar, they make me laugh a lot, then she copies me too. We end up in a heap, having the giggles. Priceless!

kateandme · 29/01/2014 05:19

when they see us giggling at the tv and do an outragious laugh too which sets us all off in fits and giggles and tickling fits.

beeelaine · 29/01/2014 10:55

My man has had a bad back for a couple of years now and he finds it hard to go camping as sleeping on the floor is not good for him, so me and our son like to set the tent up in the garden, our egg and spoon moment is when we have a sneeky 'midnight feast' in the tent, our son loves camping out during the warmer weather! x
