The dreaded DLA- pip. Just had a call from Maximus who asked a couple
of questions and said they’d write the report and send it to DWP. No assessment needed. They asked if DD could get snacks out of a cupboard if they were hungry will that mean they won’t score any points around preparing food section

I think it depends on the assessor unfortunately. Ds has severe gastric issues and a feeding tube but also eats orally I've had to say you cant expect him to live on prepacked cold foods and maintain his health several times. Dla seemed to deal with this better than pip unfortunately.

Everyone has an assessment. Some paper-based, some with a telephone or virtual appointment and some with a F2F appointment.

Being able to get a snack doesn’t mean you can’t score points under activity 1. Same for being able to prepare only cold food. There is far more to be considered under than activity.
