I am considering getting an audhd assessment for my oldest child who is 16 in year 12. It features very strongly in my family and I have always thought there was some neurodivergence but he seems to really struggle socially and I wonder if more self awareness may help. He is very bright but quite vulnerable socially. Does anyone have any experience of getting a private assessment what sort of accreditation would they need? I am assuming it would take months or years to go through the nhs at the moment. Any help would be gratefully appreciated
