Reccomendations for private ADHD screening in Gloucestershire (but willing to travel)

I’m looking for recommendations of a private clinic/psychiatrist who can screen my 16yr old DS for ADHD/Autism. We are in Gloucestershire but obviously willing to travel.
GP has been useless, suggested going private as she said it’s not a CAHMS thing and waiting lists are 3/4 years long.
Feeling very wobbly and scared about the whole process but know it’s imperative to support our son ASAP especially with 18 & adulthood looming!
He’s very bright currently doing A levels, and I know a diagnosis would mean DSA support at Uni…

Can i ask, whats delayed you seeking help before now? Surely his symptoms would have prompted investigation years ago?

No his ‚symptoms‘ did not.
I’m not asking for your criticism I’m asking for recommendations. I am not a psychiatrist and it’s seems each person has different symptoms.
Thanks for making me feel a whole lot worse.

Not local to you but you could look at Dr Maite Ferrin.

Just so you are aware, a diagnosis doesn’t always equal DSA. It depends on needs.

If DC would want to consider medication and affording ongoing private prescriptions would be an issue, you should check with your GP first because many will not taken on shared care following private diagnosis/titration now.

Also not local but not crazy far is Dr Chakraborty in Oxford. Used to operate out of the Priory but different clinic now.
