She is 16 and she says 3 or 4 times a day 'I'm pregnant/look at my baby belly/feel the baby kick' etc.

It stemmed from her fixation being the film Juno last year and it's just continued.

She isn't interested in babies or the mechanics of pregnancy or anything like that.

I'm not worried about her actually getting pregnant, firstly she says she is a lesbian and she has never had a gf/bf. Also she is VERY socially isolated and the only place she goes is college and she is chauffered there and back.

I think the stress for me cones from her saying it in public alot and buying pregnancy tests if we go somewhere that does the cheap ones. She doesn't take them! She just puts them on a shelf.

I know it may seem weird but she thinks it is hilarious and says she wants a clearblue digital for her birthday 😪

Its probably unlikely someone has been through this exact situation but has anyones autistic teen had a fixation that you really didnt like?!

I’d try to work on the no comments in public via some visual rules or a social story.
I’d try to keep a straight face and say being pregnant isn’t funny just part of life. Have you got a good puberty/ sex ed book with appropriate illustrations?
Can you borrow or hire one of those babies for real? I know they use them in secondary schools. I know you say she’s not interested in babies but worth a try if it continues?

Not had this but I can see why you’re finding it so difficult Flowers
