Does anyone have any good resources for a boy with autism nearing puberty? He’s 13 in August and I’m looking for resources that we can both go through. He’s high functioning but struggles with social anxiety. I feel a bit clueless on it all

This book is a good start. With any book I’d look at it yourself first then let him read it and get back to you with any questions.
The pastoral team at school may be covering this with him individually or in a group.
The NAS have a Teen Life programme for parents. You could see if it’s available in your area.

You might find this book or this book useful.

Even though the resources listed here are primarily aimed at people with a learning disability, you/DS might still find some helpful.

Thanks both! All the recommendations look good. Should I cover STDs at this age or is it worth waiting? Is foreskin retraction important or is that something that happens during puberty?
