My 17yr old DD has high functioning autism. This morning it was discovered she had a clash later in the day with school stuff and her tutor. I asked her why she hadn't told me or got in touch with her tutor and not for the first time she launched herself at me and just stopped short of hitting me shouting that she hated me. I'm sat here in bits, she's 18 tomorrow and her expectations of presents etc are high but right now I don even feel like acknowledging it. I tried taking to her before she left for school but she just ignored me, I'm at a loss

Have a look at rejection sensitive dysphoria.

DD may have seen your criticism as rejection, especially if overlooking this/not acting on it was down to DD’s disability.

Can you and DD set up a system together so you both know if there is a clash?
