What happens at mediation ?

So I’ve appealed the EHCP and am in a phase transfer year, I’m appealing section B,F and I for a residential educational placement. I am having second thoughts about the residential educational placement.

As part of mediation, will the LA show me alternatives eg supported living and a day college?

The LA is unlikely to discuss alternatives. Mediation rarely works for appeals including section I, but you can use it to your advantage if you need a delaying tactic.
