ADHD Coaching?

My son was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 19. He is on medication and while it does help, it isn't a miracle cure. Several people have mentioned to me ADHD coaching but how do we go about finding someone who provides this? My son has had some mentoring at college specifically for study skills but didn't find it so helpful for managing his life with ADHD.

In some areas, ADHD coaching is available via the NHS.

If DS has an EHCP, it can be included in there.

If you want to go privately, I would ask around locally because IMO F2F works better.

In some areas, ADHD coaching is available via the NHS. I didn't know that! My DS is slightly older and has ADHD. How would we go about finding out if we can access ADHD life coaching?

Ask around locally and contact the local adult ADHD service.

There's a local Adult ADHD service? What do they do?

There will be a service commissioned to provide ADHD assessments for your ICB. In some areas, this service will provide support other than medication following diagnosis.
