Wonder if my ds has ADHD

I’ve been wondering this for a long time so just wanted to briefly chat to people here. We’re really struggling with him at the moment. He is:

-aggressive. I’ve had a pen thrown at my face and a tennis ball hit at my head in the last few months. He has also kicked and pushed me.
-rude. A lot. He cries and says he literally feels like he can’t stop himself from the rudeness and the anger/ aggression.
-says he feels like he’s got ‘a problem’ because he can’t control his anger. He is very volatile.
-can’t sit still. Fidgets a lot and struggles to concentrate on things.
-impulsive. Does really stupid stuff that he knows will get him in trouble.

  • talks non stop and wants someone with him constantly unless he’s got his head in a PlayStation game.
  • clumsy. Terribly so.
  • has a stammer. Not sure if that’s linked but thought I’d share it.
any thoughts? Thinking about pursuing a private consultation/ diagnosis.

I'm not an expert but do have 2 DC with ADHD. I would think it's worth talking to your GP about Dyspraxia and ADHD and also asking for a referral to SLT for the stammer.

Has he had an OT Assessment for the clumsiness too? Flowers

Sorry I should have added, you can also do things in the meantime that might help your DS like running. Have a look at ADHD and tips first self regulation Flowers

Thank you! I will look at self regulation.

he’s had help for his stammer but he still has it.
I didn’t know about getting help for clumsiness- I’ll look into that too.
