I don’t have any particular information on this school other than what is available on line, that they are having a big rebrand and expanding the school. I have been looking at this school too as a possibility for my child. I do have a distant family member who has 2 ADHD teens that go to Brookfield and she highly rates them, said her son wouldn’t be getting any GCSEs if it wasn’t for them. But I’m afraid that’s all I have to go on.

Many thanks for your reply, always good to hear another parents view. Been hearing good things about GEM.
I have a 13 year old, awaiting diagnosis who is struggling at mainstream, not academically but socially and emotionally.

Sounds like you are in a similar situation to me. My 13 year old is diagnosed and we are finalising his EHCP. GEM has been recommended to me too and is currently full so I’m going to do my best to get him in there or somewhere similar.

Went through Primary fine but Secondary has been a roller coaster with alot of sensory problems becoming more evident. It's heartbreaking to see them struggling so badly. Unfortunately there seems very little provision with limited spaces available in the schools which would meet their needs.
Good luck with getting a place, they all need a place where they feel safe.

That sounds so familiar to me.
I'm definitely going to need luck but I’ll get there. Was thinking of online or flexischool of the local authority don’t come through for us. But it’s all a waiting game.
I hope your child gets their diagnosis soon and more importantly, that things start to improve for them.

Thank you and hope it all works out for you.
You just want to send them off everyday knowing their day is going to be safe and happy.
