My adult DDs period hasn’t stopped for days and is worried about it. I suggested the doctors, she managed to get to see the nurse who told her to see what happens next month! Like, ok but she’s ASD/ADHD.
Im not sure what else to say to her?

I suppose it depends on what ‘days’ means. Because it is normal for periods to last days.

Unless extremely heavy a one off period lasting longer than normal without other symptoms wouldn’t be a concern.

If DD is struggling to manage periods, she could ask about starting the pill. If heavy, tranexamic acid can help. If she doesn’t already use them, period pants may help too.

When we spoke again this morning she’s now saying getting on for two weeks. She was previously on the pill and used to worry that her period would never start! I can’t win, she’s got her period and now it’s all catching up with itself. I think,I was hoping the nurse would reassure her because she seems to think I know nothing about periods!
