Supplements for ADHD

DD 16, diagnosed with ADHD last year is struggling and would like to try taking something to help but not meds.

The internet is a minefield of supplements - can anyone recommend a tested formula that helps calm, focus and mood-lift their ADHD teen?

Her sleep schedule is rubbish as is her diet but she suffers with severe IBS. But it's a vicious cycle as the stress is ruining her sleep and causing a lot of the tummy issues, I think.

I'm arranging for her to have more counselling as that helped in the past.

We're working on the food and the sleep, that coupled with the counselling should help but I also think she could do with a supplement. Just no idea what to get. There's lots aimed at kids and at adults but I can't find anything for young adults/teens

Her paediatrician said she'd be reluctant to prescribe medication, given her age (GCSEs etc) and her stomach issues.

Thank you

Sorry don’t have much advice. Daughter 18 with adhd. She has stopped taking adhd meds as she didn’t feel it made enough difference. I have heard that Magnesium is a good supplement to have as far as sleep is concerned. Though possibly worth checking this with a pharmacist is she takes any other medication
